Medical Ninjutsu [Apprentice] Despite his seemingly permanent aversiveness to anything related to his patriarch, Chinetsu nonetheless found himself walking down the path of an accomplished physician on the field. Some say this choice was seen as an attempt for the Chuunin to somehow prove his father wrong regarding his final choice – though no one that understood his plights was left to offer such validation. In the end, after being dismayed over the self-perceived notion that his efforts were truly in vain, Chinetsu’s besotted condition would erode most of his medical skills, and thus rendered them unexceptional, at best.
Yet despite his arguably well-deserved distain, he nonetheless still retained his ability for saving life, and often was known for his unorthodox techniques to save that very life, especially in combat. Much like his father, he quickly developed a sense for being able to provide basic healing services on the scene when materials were not readily available, including knowledge of his surroundings in order to use nature in his favor.
When it comes to combat, a combination of his chakra and physical excision is his endgame. While he has not quite understood the odd marriage, he nonetheless applies himself at it so as to come closer and closer to being better at it.
Medical Ninjutsu [Journeyman] Despite his seemingly permanent aversion to anything related to his patriarch, Chinetsu nonetheless found himself walking down the path of an accomplished physician on the field. Some say this choice was seen as an attempt for the Chuunin to somehow prove his father wrong regarding his final choice in profession, yet unfortunately for him, by the time his skills came into fruition, no one that understood his plight remained alive to offer the validation he so desperately sough. As such, in the end, after being dismayed over the self-perceived notion that his efforts were truly in vain, Chinetsu’s besotted condition would erode most of his medical skills, and thus rendered them unexceptional, at best.

Much like his father, he quickly developed a sense for being able to provide basic healing services on the scene when materials were not readily available, including knowledge of his surroundings in order to use nature in his favor. And this improved over time once he returned to service, where years spent on the practice of his craft, both mentally and physically, allowed the rather easy and smooth return of skills – skills he had previously abandoned.
Upon his conscription back into Kumo military as a field battle medic, his return to the field was marked with a most dangerous assignment, one involving the coordinated, multi-village effort to provide assistance to the Hidden Sound against aggressive foreign invaders. It was during his sobriety prior to the big event, as well as the re-training, and myriad of missions that were designed to prepare him for such large scale conflicts, that he saw a sudden sharp improvement in his medical skills. Prior to his return, he’d mostly employ life saving techniques merely to prevent his liver from being overworked due to the all alcohol, and his heart from failing due to the lack of proper nutrition. Now that he was back on the field, his techniques gained a bit more acuity.
Signature techniques such as the Chakra no Mesu, the scalpel that changed the way medics applied aid, returned as one of his staples. Hand-in-hand with such knowledge to heal came the discovery of skills like Renshin, which, using the same concept of execution as the chakra scalpel, create senbon of one’s own energy for offensive, short-range purposes. Finally, while his abilities still cannot fully grasp Shoshen, a more amateurish version of his Healing Technique allows him to keep his allies from suffering harm.
