The lightning country is predominantly mountainous with a cold climate. Most civilian cities are built around hot springs that can be found throughout the region. The lightning country annexed the land of frost to the west. It also has control of several islands, including Uzushiogakure, the ancestral homeland of the Uzumaki clan. The land is named after its tendency to have violent storms in the summer time.
