[attr="class","APP3]The mulling thoughts of the soldiers wouldn't show much benefit as Kaito rushed forward to save the wounded man. Ryota's apprehension - and the apprehension of the others surrounding him - would prove apt as bow strings grew taught. A rain of arrows would pierce into the wall of smoke, undeterred by the genin's attempt of a distraction. While he would likely be able to avoid them, the second volley was questionable.
Kaito would find himself in a bad spot, although he would still be able to escape. Doing it with the wounded man? Questionable, at best.
Another knocking of arrows, another launch - soldiers mobilizing from within the forest's brush with sweeping movements. Arrows flew wildly to any nearby movement, the few animals that remained fleeing for their lives, and failing. It wouldn't be but a moment before they'd start to progress on the remaining members of the squadron, but still enough time for them to react.
As for Tenchi's concern for a superior officer, the wind answered silently. Their commanding officer had abandoned them, for one reason or another, and they would have to take charge of themselves. Korogaru would be able to dress her wounds with some of the remaining medical material - the stone shinobi having disappeared amongst their previous conflict. With thinning numbers, the smoke ridden field now polluted with archers trying to make out movement.
Within the Sanmitsu reside two spirits; one of the impure world, and one of the pure. Said to be a cursed bloodline, their abilities have led to them being regarded as high strung emotional nightmares, flying off the handle at little to no trigger, or becoming insanely obsessive at a first encounter. With a fairly disliked public view of the clan, it would come as no surprise that they have faced persecution and exile more times than any of them care to count, being a name rarely taken or admitted to. The few 'proud' Sanmitsu that remain are often wanderers or missing nin, having been shunned from their original communities.
Kekkai Genkai
Twin Souls' Balance [Futamashi Tenbin] The Sanmitsu's Kekkai Genkai allows their bodies to go under incredible transformations, granting them increased speed, durability, power, and even enhancing the strength of their ninjutsu. The transformations tend to depend on the user's emotional state, although they can otherwise be purposefully shifted into with a considerable burst of chakra otherwise. At Dormant, this is nothing but a black scrawl that stretches over their person the more emotional they become, with a noticeable 'taint' in their chakra by sensors.
Largely, their transformations are unique to each member, although they often share common traits. Their personality will be 'overwhelmed' by their strongest emotion, losing all bust the most base sense of rationale and reasoning. Comparable to a berserker state, one cannot discern the difference between targets, and will often describe it as comparable to getting black out drunk. This errant behavior is not just their own; their very chakra is somehow poisonous, causing bruising on areas where one might attempt to transfer it.
Similarly, their transformations become incredibly unstable if directly engaged with a non-clan member's chakra, genjutsu notably cancelling most - if not all - transformations beneath Journeyman. Similar effects can be achieved with transferring chakra, although the range makes it far more dangerous.
As the scrawl envelops their entire person, their sclera shift to black, irises becoming a golden yellow. Their skin shifts to an ash grey, or in certain mutations of the kekkai genkai, a mottled, angry red. Commonly, black marks will be found around the user's eyes and mouth, along with lengthened and darkened hair and fingernails. At Rookie, this is the full culmination of their transformation, one that cannot be maintained for long periods of time, nor providing incredible benefit.
At Apprentice, the transformation 'settles' to some degree, small growths and alterations starting to come into existence across the user's body. Generally, these are the preludes to what will become functional strengths as they advance - what might at one point become sharp horns will only start as wart-like protrusions, or a tail only as a small nub on their back. Notably, the transformation becomes easier to maintain, allowing for more all-out brawls than short spurts of enhanced ability.
With their body and mind becoming more in-sync with that of their 'impure' version, Sanmitsu advance to Journeyman, their physical prowess allowing them notable advantage in the realm of taijutsu. The transformation comes to them almost naturally, allowing them to freely shift it on with far less chakra than their juniors. Unfortunately, they still have no way of fully controlling themselves in their transformed state, although parts of their personality do come further to the surface. In this state, ninjutsu become more obviously affected, the quality of their chakra becoming visibly tainted. Their growths are more noticeably formed, some even becoming gigantic. However, they lack the function that more advanced Sanmitsu's do, with auxiliary limbs flailing freely in the wind, horns shattering to small blows - aesthetic, nothing more.
A Veteran Sanmitsu has finally matured, their growths becoming functionally usable limbs, weapons, or even faux organs such as eyes and mouths. Their personality shines fully through in their transformations, although it does not lose any of the more 'feral' touches one might have otherwise. Now capable of switching the full transformation on or off, their innate bonuses from the kekkai genkai have reached their limit. Elemental releases will gain a dark, metallic sheen to their chakra, with other ninjutsu gaining offensive qualities from the volatility of their chakra. At best, they can now maintain their transformation for an hour before their body collapses from fatigue.
When a Sanmitsu rises to become a Master, turning their kekkai genkai on or off is no longer their limitation. Capable of partially manifesting it into separate parts of their body, they are capable of retaining the entirety of their consciousness without ill intent - although something still seems to be lost in the case of a full transformation. Visually, this shows as the scrawl tightening around a specific body part, transforming it solely. Their growths become malleable, allowing their shape to stretch and change to further aide their abilities. If they possess Shape Manipulation at Journeyman or higher, they can mold their growths into artillery - launching blasts of raw, amplified chakra.
Few Grand-Masters have existed in the clan's history, possessing terrible and terrifying powers. Having conquered their impure soul, their body has becoming a playground of their own making. Capable of reattaching dismembered limbs by placing them onto their open wounds and transforming, withstanding what would previously be mortal wounds and stitching themselves together by absorbing their growths - they ascend to monstrous levels of durability, although some have been rumored; neigh, legend, to eschew these traits in favor of further delving the soul into their chakra, or other physical traits.

Implant Notes
When implanted, the Juinjutsu of choice used to bind it will decide its scrawl shape and origin. Because of the nature of juinjutsu, they'll have incredible control over the change between transformations, but suffer more than exhaustion upon exiting. The more chakra and physical action through any body part while transformed, or in partial use, will suffer bruising, eventually turning into full-blown necrosis if under extreme overuse. With higher ranked Juinjutsu and higher ranked 'donor's, these drawbacks lessen.
The volley of stones kept with the beast's proclamation, the man falling with half a skull making far a louder statement than any roar. A hyuga would be on the receiving end as well, although the scrape against her arm would be little to worry over if treated quickly.
The trembling ground accompanied more than death, thankfully - the courage, and some would say honor - of the shinobi at hand evident. A pack of beast-joined family collided forward in a massive assault, the younger few taking oppurtunity for shelter and safety; save for one.
A culmination of nearly a dozen attacks, a parade of their abilities not as singles, but as a whole.
All to meet an immovable object.
The uproar of laughter as the beast stood still, untouched as impacts seemed to do little but shake dirt off its hide, reducing its size slightly. A bucking nod as it almost seemed to applaud the group, before one last wave of the earth would send them all skidding back. "YES! VERY GOOD!" it brayed back and forth, pawing the ground beneath it with a fierce enthusiasm. "You have proven yourselves worthy. Or at least some of you."
It's eyes lolled back, turning to each of the men, women, and children surrounding it. "I am Ryoshu-Yama, the patriarch of the Idaina go Tsunoyama. For battle, and for entertainment, I have come to sire my children into your conflict ridden hellscape." A snort, as a hoof slammed forawrd. The ground split - a scroll rising up from underneath the soil.
"You two!" its head shifted, pointing lazily at the bear-engaged woman and young Amegakure boy, "You are interesting." Another shift of the head, regarding the more venerable jonin. "You lot can leave. There is nothing interesting of brute strength and inaction." Another gust of air from flared nostrils, eyes locking temporarily to the strewn about corpses. "And you have dead to care to."
As the two approached, they would be given the scroll with a nudge of the rhino's horn, signing with palm prints of their own blood. It would be a quick process, and not worth fussing about from any other participants - the beast would not be afraid to spear through them.

A split in decision, the markedly two opposite camps of actors being for offense and observation. Among their efforts were two barrages of attacks, neither possessing exceptional fluidity, but a fair bit of teamwork.
The previously dazed and confused rhino was descended upon by bats out of hell, tenketsu struck with fierce blows as weapons rained down - a pillow of smoke rippling as it popped out of existence, to somewhere far, far away. One rhinoceros remained.
The heave of grey flesh cracked the earth beneath it, visible steam rippling from flared nostrils. A dashing water clone, multiple spinning inuzuka colliding forward, the loose wrappings of a puppet not unlike a poorly fitted robe - all having one thing on common.
A roar of laughter was their only result. Beady eyes had now opened into a fiery glare, the muzzle of the beast twisting into a gnarled smile. Chakra rippled through flesh, bone, and dirt with each step, the continued barrage doing nothing to slow the beast down as it paraded towards the remaining shinobi.
With the puppets spike would attempt to drive in, the metal shattered as the beasts hide visibly cracked, the force of multiple spinning bodies widening it further, until with a thundercrack, a smaller rhino rocketed out from the earthen shell it had inhabited, notably less battle worn and 'youthful', or whatever the rhino equivalent may be. The shell of earth would collapse into a almost literal dogpile, the pile of men, woman, and pet dazed, but not harmed. With a stomp, and nearly a braying, the beast circled in place, beginning to speak through small windows of joyous laughter.
"You can put my kids in their place! That's good!" a snort, hoof cracking the ground beneath him. "Entertainment like this gets my heart beating!! Some of you might even be worthy!" Another laugh, this one dark, heavy. "IF YOU CAN SURVIVE!"
The earth shook.
By infusing a shell of earth with a genjutsu trigger, the Rhinoceros was free to mold chakra from the very beginning. Til now.
Chakra radiated out in a single burst, the shaking tremors causing rocks to fling themselves aggressively at anyone nearby - surface level wounds, but enough would put anyone left standing out of commission easily. Another roar of mocking laughter continued, its voice ringing with the sound of crumbling stone. "PROVE YOU'VE GOT GUTS!"
Mending the wounded, observations, protecting the weak. All valiant, even noble, efforts - but none of them were successful in dispatching the beasts at hand. Fortunately, other strategies did prove effective, although the costs of well being varied wildly.
Hands tucked underneath the gut of a rhino, weight shifting as muscles screamed, bulged, and tore; yet it was torn from the earth and to the sky. Seiichi's attempt to suplex the beast was fairly capable, but without the few bullets of air managing to hit from Shoichi's technique, he'd have been left crushed underneath the beast's weight. A puff of smoke and a crater would be all the world would remember from the beast.
And now, the bear man could continue to move, but the fatigue would only grow exponentially from here.
Shoichi, having not dispelled the illusion, would continue to have himself assaulted by illusory rhinoceroses, lucky to be able to discern anything further in the conflict without dispelling it - leaving him a sitting duck.
The faint boom of an explosion, the attempted killing of a rather dazed and confused beast. Unfortunately, without the follow through from his fellow Jonin, Anotsu's blow wouldn't put it out of its misery. However, his and Mai's attempts to guard the younger members of their group would not go un-rewarded, managing to further ensconce their safety. The continually dazed rhino was able to rip itself from the earth, although it seemed incapable of any incredible charges like before.
The genin groups efforts were actively effective, their teamwork leading to the hobbling and subsequent falling of the beast charging them down. The Jonin's assistance covering any sloppiness or mistakes they might've had, a leg tucked under the stampeding beast, cracking loudly as the entirety of its weight slammed forward and into itself, dissapearing into a puff of smoke.
Smoke bombs, inuzuka assaults, clone assaults, the whirling knife of a puppeteer, another erupting roar from the beast. Laughter
"GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!!!" it roared, charging in a mad blitz from the cloud of smoke. The pincer attack seemed to dig into the beasts hide, only for another burst of chakra to surge out, walls of stone erupting underneath their approaches. They could still attempt to attack, but it would become far more difficult. Above, a sword wielding clone made an attempt to strike, being bucked off in the beast's charge.
On the other end, a chain whirled around the beasts neck - ripping the puppet it was attached to forward with incredible speed. If Higa maintained his chakra strings, he'd be turned into road rash in no time.
[attr="class","APP3"]Great! So, now the hijutsu is 100% good to go, but the ability of your kekkai genkai is too broad for us to set it as a clan only thing. Putting seals on skin is already something you can do once you hit a certain level, practically being required for Juinjutsu, so it's also redundant.
[attr="class","APP3"]I really like the idea of the hijutsu! But we need to address your requirements first. Overall: far too strict.
On top of that, the Kekkai Genkai doesn’t particularly do anything. While I get it’s as a boost to the Hijutsu, I’d recommend flipping the two’s roles (hijutsu to kkg, kkg to hijutsu) if you want to keep things as similar as possible.
Otherwise, everything is pretty solid. Just need some way to visualize/direct the sealing procedure, so you can’t run around force choking people.
[attr="class","APP3"]So, I'm having some difficulty understanding what benefits there really are for the kekkai genkai. The Hijutsu I like, but considering it's supposed to be linked to your Kekkai Genkai somehow, I'm really not sure on what it's benefitting from in it. DM me if you need to get in the weeds on anything.
