Do not worry, my little darling. You are in the most capable of hands. I promise to take very good care of you. ” Purple stained lips curled into a pleased smile, clawed fingers gently caressing the cheek of the heavily injured shinobi laid out on the mat before them. The man was gravely wounded, eyes closed tightly as his face twisted into a grimace. A frontline fighter that had been nearly eviscerated by the enemy, after which point every moment had been pure agony. And now he was in the medic’s tent with so many other injured shinobi being issued so many other treatments. But alas, this one’s injuries were to severe to be healed by simple medical chakra. This man needed a doctor.
The shinobi was unable to speak in reply to the doctor’s words, as he was too busy using every fiber of his being not to scream in utter agony. But the man treating him was as calm and patient as ever, watching the man’s face with a soft smile as a claw slowly dragged across his cheek. ”You’re doing good so far, but I’ll need you to relax for me.” As they spoke they would turn to the arrangement of tools set up on the floor beside them. A rather typical assortment, really. Bandages, balms, vials of strangely colored liquids, lots of needles...Yes. Perfectly normal.
Despite the doctor’s confidence, the man watched with fear in his eyes. He was clearly terrified of what was to come, perhaps even aware of their reputation. A fear that was only intensified when Kobashigawa produced a needle that seemed to be dripping with a translucent substance. The shinobi's hands reached out to stop him, pained whines escaping him as he grabbed the doctors wrists in a desperate plea for mercy. Though all he would receive was a faintly irritated sigh and a shake of the head, the bells dangling from his hair jingling gently from the motion.
”Oh you poor little soul. I come to you with an act of mercy, and yet you insist on resisting. Please, relax so that-” Another pained whine escaped the man as he shook he used what little energy he had to shake his head. To think, this person would rather lay there and die than receive the aid of a caring doctor. It was something that the ‘healer’ was all too familiar with, the ways that fear made people act so irrationally. Fortunately, that also meant he knew how to deal with this. ”Would someone come restrain this patient for me? He’s being unreasonably difficult.” His eyes narrowed into a glare this time, his words dripping with a venom that starkly contrasted his previous softness. It seemed the doctor’s patience was wearing thin.

lavender lashes hung heavy over silvery hues, small lips pressing together faintly. the rain genin's sandals pattered along the dirt, kicking up dust behind herself as her tiny arms grasped tightly at the bundle in her arms. some supplies for the medic tent, an urgent mission that had been given to her as she remained in zone 0. it was small and nothing in comparison to the other shinobi rushing about the area to protect the village of onomichi, but it was the best she could do. her lips pressed firmer together as her thoughts drifted to her sister, worry clenching at her heart and making her grasp on the medical supplies tighten even more. she hoped aiko would be ok and in that thought, she scolded herself for thinking like that. her sister was great and she knew that she'd be able to take care of herself. [break][break]
but the worry still nagged at her and so she kept herself busy. flinging the fabric of the tent aside, she slowed to a pace as one of the medics approached her. she offered the supplies to them without a smile, silver hues shifting to glance at the injured already. so many shinobi had been so early in and the numbers would only rise. she only hoped the number of samurai killed was more. at that moment, in her little 12-year-old heart, she began to despise samurai even though she knew it was fruitless to do so. they did as they were told just as shinobi were, but she couldn't imagine amegakure ever attacking another village without reason.[break][break]
or so she thought.[break][break]
her attention was stolen away by the words of one of the doctors, knelt at the side of a heavily injured man. her fingers curled into her palm and without hesitation, she made her way over. hoshi fell to her knees at the man's head, her hands reaching to grab his flailing arms and pin them mercilessly to the ground. she hung her head over the man's, silver hues with no pupils staring into his own.[break][break]
❝ don't trouble the doctor when he is helping you. ❞ she stated with a firm tone, her voice even and devoid of any sympathy or empathy for the man. she pulled her head back as she gripped tightly to his wrist, hoping the awkward angle of his arms pinned over his head would leave him with less strength to fight back. regardless, she'd put her all into keeping him there with every strength she had.[break][break]
her silver hues flicked to the doctor, examining him for a moment before her pale cheeks began to flush. she lowered her head and focused on staring the man down with furious lavender eyes furrowed over her eyes.[break][break]
Health care has always been a priority for Bashira. Nothing else came close to the need to help and keep her beloved village going. So delivering supplies and tending to the wounded came naturally to her. The very second she had heard of need in Zone 0, she was off. Now she was keeping busy with helping wherever she was needed.
One of the more critical patients who seemed to be panicking about their situation came to her attention and not surprisingly another Hyuga was here. Hoshi was a decade younger than her but she was as brilliant and observant as anybody else in her clan.
Moving to help her cousin get the poor man under control so the good doctor could help was easier said than done. His body was not ready to be staying in one place.
She held down his legs as she looked at Hoshi. “It’s going to be okay once we get him to relax.” She said trying to be friendly. She never wished an injury as grave as this on anyone. Her thoughts stayed on keeping him restrained. Even if he had tried to kick her a few times.
It wasn’t going to stop her from doing her best. Breathing in slowly kept her from feeling anxious every time he tried to jerk away. Part of her wondered how much of a sedative would work.
Her light Lavender eyes stayed on his legs as she put most of her strength into holding him down. Fear made a lot of people feel like thrashing around like a brainless beast, so when the odd jerk of his knees came too close to her eyes, she just moved her head out of the way.
Patience was needed when your patient was out of their mind. She looked at Hoshi for a brief time before she looked back at her job. She had many questions about her family outside of Kumo. Though it wasn’t the time to be thinking about anything else but the care of the patient.
Her questions could be answered any time and now she had to focus on not getting herself injured by accident. Hoshiko HyugaKobashigawa Hirabayashi
It didn't take long for assistance to arrive in the form of a young child, her pale eyes immediately betraying her bloodline's origins. His lips returned to a soft smile as she forcefully removed the man's hands from their own, forcing them down to keep him from resisting any further. Before he even had a chance to praise the young girl, another would step forward to make herself available. His smile grew, eyes almost seeming to shine with pride as he looked between the two of them. It was so good to see a pair of young souls willing to lend their aid so readily.
"Thank you, my darlings." A clawed finger reached out toward Bashira as she kneeled down to assist, the sharp nail gently hooking around a strand of her hair to delicately brush it aside. "Be a dear and get his ankles for me? This is going to get a whole lot worse if he starts kicking." Their attention then turned to Hoshiko, a hand reaching over to rest a hand on top of her head. His shoulders relaxed, a pleased hum escaping him as he watched the younger hyuga's features. "Keep your weight on his wrists, sweetheart. He's going to be doing quite a bit of squirming with this next part." His hand slowly retreated from the purple haired girl, his attention turning back to the injured shinobi. "And you. You just had to go and waste the time of these poor, sweet young ladies. You should be ashamed of yourself."
The fingers holding the needle moved to dip it in one of the vials once more, giving it a thorough coating of poison medicine to ensure it would be effective. The man's breathing only grew more intense, pleading eyes looking between the two Hyuga as he silently begged for them to let him go. Or perhaps he wanted them to get help? Whatever the case, the good doctor would continue on without hesitation. "This is going to hurt quite a bit. But I promise it will help with the pain." Without further warning, the doctor jammed the needle into the man's neck. His movement was as swift as it was precise, yet he still seemed to be so casual that one may assume this was a standard procedure for him. At the same time, the man would finally let out a pained scream, moving to fight against those holding him down with what little strength he had left. Which with his injuries wouldn't be nearly enough to offer sufficient resistance.
With a flick of the wrist, the doctor would shake off the residual liquid from the tips of his nails. "If you two could just hold him while we wait for the paralytic to work its way through his system, it would be greatly appreciated. It shouldn't take too long." The two were offered a polite smile, the doctor continuing to pay no mind to the protests of his patient. "My name is Doctor Kobashigawa Hirabayashi. If there is anything I can do for you two, please let me know. It would be a great shame if I failed to provide compensation for your aid."
silvery hues glanced up at the sound of footsteps approaching, catching sight of the hyuga woman. her lips pressed togetha and she lowered her gaze onto the man. bashira was a beautiful woman and it made her incredibly jealous. she wanted to be beautiful like that when she grows up. if she had to choose between bashira and aiko, clearly her sister was prettier. ( the 12-year-old thought to herself. ) she doesn't respond to bashira's comment, however, as she was more interested in just keeping the man down. she wasn't really sure if they could get him to relax, that seemed like wishful thinking. getting him better was more important than his comfort level.[break][break]
being called darling caused the light flush on the hyuga's face to redden a bit more, not exactly used to such compliments. it made her grip on the man's wrists tighten even more and for a brief moment, she wondered if the man panicked more over the girl hanging over him then the doctor with the dangerous needle. could she ever strike fear into people's hearts? it seemed like a silly thing to think about, but she felt like it would be a good thing. it would make her become an even more fearsome shinobi.[break][break]
the sensation of a hand pressing on her head caught her out of her thoughts. she barely registered the words as her entire face lit up red. she put all her weight onto the man's wrist, just as the doctor had instructed. even if the man squirmed, she wouldn't let up! she allowed her eyes to wander for a moment as she peeked under her lavender bangs at the doctor, the needle dripping with whatever was inside of it. she watched silently as he stuck the needle into the man's neck, the sensation of his movement being felt in the resistance of her locked limbs. her jaw clenched together as she did her best to keep him from causing too many problems from his squirming. she let out a grunt, wishing she had been born just a little bit bigger.[break][break]
at the introduction the girl's lips parted as she glanced under her bangs to the man, her hold still as tight as she could muster. more strength than any man might expect from such a tiny girl.[break][break]
❝ i am....hoshiko hyuga from amegakure....sir. it's a pleasure to meet you... ❞ she gently states, her face still warm and hot. the man's arms buck up, causing her to gasp as she realized she had lessened her hold for just a second. she presses her lips together and frowns heavily as she slams his hands down harshly into the ground.[break][break]
Bashira was thinking about how much she didn’t look anything like her cousins. The Hyuga’s genetics had a knack of skipping generations. The blue hair and fair skin she had gotten had been prominent in her ancestors but none of her living relatives safe her maternal grandmother had the looks of her family.
The clawed finger caught her off guard but she managed a smile as she complied. Holding his ankles was easier said than done. The patient had a bad tendency to kick. While the doctor was telling Hoshi to hold his wrists she focused on putting her strength into keeping him down.
The doctor had some sort of liquid in his syringe that gave her pause. She didn’t say anything about it but when he cried out she had so many questions. Maybe she would refer back to her medical books her great grandmother had kept from her own grandmother. If she didn’t see his method then she’d go by the book and make sure the care was there.
“I’m Bashira Hyuga and I’m from Kumogakure and it’s an honour to meet you. Hoshi, I’m glad I got to see you.” She said smiling. She was taken aback when Hoshi slammed his hands down.
She kept her eyes on his ankles after that outburst wondering what she was doing here. It made her feel bad about how the patient was treated but she was helping so she had no idea if it was her place to say something. Hoshiko HyugaKobashigawa Hirabayashi
Lips curled into a proud smile, dark eyes flicking between the two girls as they oh so diligently restrained the stubborn shinobi. The man beneath them would squirm with what little might he could muster, but the man simply wasn't fit for any form of battle. Instead he simply stared up at the tent above, tears streaming down the sides of his face as he resigned himself to his fate. Kobashigawa's hand extended toward the man, a clawed finger tip gently caressing the man's cheek. "You should count yourself lucky, my friend. Anyone here would love nothing more than to have such sweethearts serving as their nurses. I promise, these darlings are far more gentle than I would have been." His words were muttered with a hum, his gaze lingering on the restrained patient. Though the words and gesture didn't provide any comfort, only replying with a soft whimper in response to the veiled threat.
While they waited for the probably-too-intense-for-this-situation paralytic to take hold, Hirabayashi would make himself comfortable. The doctor's tender smile would turn to the girls, eyes lingering on each of them for a few moments. Gaze would narrow into a squint, as if he was trying to peer past their eyes and steal a glimpse at something hidden underneath. But the moment was short lived, his countenance quickly softening. "Goodness. Both of you precious little kits are Hyuga? Truly I am the most blessed man in all of the land to have such sweet little doves descend upon me in this moment of need." A hand came to rest over his heart, his smile growing a bit as his attention remained focused on their eyes.
"One from the village of cloud, another from rain. You two really are the most perfect little duo, aren't you? Surely, this meeting must be a fated one." A hand reached out toward Hoshi, his smile only seeming to grow at the sight of her flustered cheeks. A claw would come to gently rest on the bottom of her chin, moving to carefully guide her face upward to properly face him. The moment he made contact, she would feel a faint tingling where she had been touched as a vague localized numbness took hold."Your eyes are as precious as they are beautiful, little one. I hope you are prepared to fight in order to protect them." A beat of silence would follow as he stared at the younger girl before his hand retracted.
His fond gaze would then toward the older of the two, his gaze showing no shame in how they examined her body before settling in her eyes. "There are many who would covet those treasures of yours. Individuals whose craving for your birth right far outweighs your own appreciation for what you have been granted. You must be ready to defend yourselves against the most feral of beasts as they tear each other apart just for a chance to pluck those shining pearls from their sockets for their own ends." The doctor's chest expanded as he sucked in a deep breath before slowly releasing it through his barely parted lips. "...Ah, but you don't have to worry about that here, do you? No, you are surrounded by friends now. And yet you still must be wary. There could be Stones hiding among the Mist waiting for a chance to strike."
Bashira’s eyes quietly moved to Hoshi as she became aware of the doctors eyes on her cousin. A familiar feeling swelled up from inside her heart. There was something wrong with the way the ‘good’ doctor was interacting with them.
She kept her gaze on him as he looked her over. Then he lead into their eyes. First warning Hoshi about protecting them and then how they were something to chase after.
She was still aware of their patient but as the suspicious substance took hold she felt the defiance was draining away. She gazed at Hoshi again. “It is something we have been known to be slaughtered for. Ours eyes and their unique abilities have always made us different and even at a young age we were warned about who we associated with. I truly hope we are safe because I know her sister, Aiko will be anxious to see her safely returned to her. I will be here to help her out and make sure she is back with Aiko-San at the end. I do trust her, I just want to be of service to not just you.” She said.
Hoshi was starting to get to her and even if the younger Hyuga wanted nothing to do with her, she would still keep her promise.
Bashira always kept her promises and Hoshi could take comfort in it. Keeping her patient restrained she kept her eyes on the pair with her.Kobashigawa HirabayashiHoshiko Hyuga

receiving such praise was new to hoshiko. never once has she been called pretty or beautiful or anything of that matter. the one who always stood out was her elder sister, aiko, and for good reasons. she was the eldest, the strongest, and the most beautiful out of their clan. hoshi felt pride in knowing that she was related to such a wonderful person and hoped one day she could be as great as her. yet, the moment the man began speaking of her eyes in that matter, the flush at her cheeks cooled instantly. her silver hues dulling and hardening as she looked into the man's own eyes. the sensation of the numbing taking hold under her chin. the realization hit her. [break][break]
this man was dangerous.[break][break]
he finally let her go and her mind turned over on what she wanted to say, but before she had a chance bashira spoke up. she spoke up in such nonesense. perhaps they were hyuga and related in some ways, but they were also from different villages. if their villages were to go to war, then she'd kill bashira without hesitation because that is her duty as a shinobi. although she supposed in this instance, all the hidden villages were working together to save this tiny village from dying.[break][break]
❝ doctor kobashigawa hirabayashi is creepy and a pervert. ❞ she softly states in a monotone manner, her empty silver hues staring him down. her grip on the man's wrists didn't falter. she could see now, he was a man who spoke sweet words when he was truly just a viper. that's right, aiko-sama warned her to not let such men sway her like that. in that moment, she made a resolve to harden her heart and to not succumb to this man's sweet words. even if she liked hearing how she was pretty. her eyes were precious to her and she wouldn't allow anyone to take them from her. for she needed them to be strong.
The two Hyuga girls would feel the resistance slowly fade from the man trapped beneath them, his hands and feet merely twitching as he struggled to fight against the toxins flowing through his bloodstream. Alas, it was all for naught. Even if they were to release him, the man would remain completely motionless. Save for his eyes, which stared out fearfully as they frantically searched his field of view for a beacon of hope. But all he would only find his captors as he was forced to devote all of his energy to his diaphragm to ensure he had enough oxygen to survive this trial.
Meanwhile, the doctor would watch the duo with a consistent soft smile, even as it seemed the two of them had lost a bit of their patience with the doctor's ramblings. They watched Bashira as she gave her little speech, her attention seemingly focused on the younger girl all the while. A soft hum delicately slipped through their lips as they nodded along, sharpened nails gently clicking together as they contemplated the words. "It is good that you are aware of the danger you two face. But the worry of an absent sister isn't enough to protect what you have. You are but two little lambs in a den of wolves as we speak. So it is good to hear that you two are sticking together. Such wisdom is rare in one as youthful as yourself." A claw reached out toward her, moving to gently caress her cheek. But it would stop before reaching its destination as the younger of the two spoke up.
Brows rose ever so slightly as the doctor turned toward Hoshiko. Head tilted to one side, smile growing a bit more amused as she voiced her opinion. "I admire your bravery, little one. To speak such insults to a man like me is a dangerous thing, indeed." A claw moved down to the immobilized patient, gaze remaining locked onto the genin's as the sharpened tip grazed the skin surrounding the open wound. "Many men of my station wouldn't stand for such a thing, you know. But fortunately, I am used to such inaccurate slanders. As such, you have my forgiveness." Attention lingered on the young kunoichi for a few moments, his chest expanding as he slowly sucked in a deep breath. "But please, don't say such a terrible thing ever again. To call my appreciation of the physical form perverse is one of the greatest insults I could fathom. The mere thought of viewing something so beautiful as little more than a thing of pleasure sickens me." The levity melted from his tone at those final words, taking the joy from his eyes along with it.
And yet the smile remained constant through that brief moment, everything seeming to go right back to normal as he finally turned back to the subject at hand. "So! Would you two like to continue this conversation? Or shall I give you a lesson on how to treat a mild case of disembowelment?"
