Bashira Hyuga was accident waiting to happen to her parents when they were messing aroung around before they even thought of settling down. She was the reason they got married because her father was of The old fashioned way. By all accounts it would look like Bashira was doomed from the start but that wasn't true. She was actually a welcoming change for her father and although he was busy, it never stopped him from spending as much time as he could with her. Her fatger was tough but fair in his teachings and never sugar coated anything. She was a Hyuga and he was a proud and well known member of The Hyuga branch clan from Kumogakure The seed for being the best she could be was planted and she started on her journey. Training more than playing became the norm for her and it never bothered her. She had a duty to her clan and whining was frowned upon. A willing student he became and nothing would tear her from her place in the world.
But that change came when her siblings and the Heiress came along .
Suddenly she didn't know the path she was meant for. She watched as her siblings and The Heiress progressed faster than her and how it pleased her parents. Still she threw herself into her training and reading all she could. If she couldn't be the best in fighting like her sibling and her parents then she'd become the best Medical Nin she could be. So she dedicated to balancing her training between what her father taught her and the teachings of A normal Medical Nin. It has carried on past graduation from the Academy. Her thinking still to be The best she can be and be a beacon to the younger Hyuga. Her family growing past the four of them and then it changed again. The gentle and kind young woman had a life changing event occur to her.
Her mother left her family behind. Just like that her mother abandoned her children. It became her job to care for her younger siblings even as the rumors of potentially losing her mother to the elements.She didn't blame her mother or carry a grudge against her. She had caught rare glimpses of what her father could become and nothing could tell her that her mother wasn't in the right. What her siblings thought mattered so she kept telling them of how she was before the incident. But she feared one or more of them wouldn't believe them so she stayed alert to anything that would tip her off. A reunion with her mother and knowing she was alive are two of her deepest wishes. She continues to be as diligent and a friendly face to the youth of Kumogakure.

Born to a Branch member and his reluctant wife, Bashira’s life was cemented in the Hyuga way. The mark that was whispered about by her clan found her at age 8 a little later than her family wanted. The Byakugan changed her life and nothing was ever the same again.

Because her father was the only one who had the Byakugan, Bashira finds her ability to use it is more of a problem. Being able to see as much as she can makes her uncomfortable because it gives her knowledge that she believes she isn’t worthy of.

Before she was even a twinkle in her father's eye, Bashira was destined to become prolific among the Hyuga clan when it came to the Art of Gentle Fist. There was no other life that she could live as the daughter of her father, as it was required of his people. Despite their wishes, she didn't naturally take to it like her mother and father but that hasn't caused her to stop trying. She strives to become better and has learned to take her struggles as lessons, knowing no better way to improve than to understand where she may be failing.
Kyūjutsu [Apprentice]
Having her father teaching her sounded good on paper but his knowledge and experience didn’t translate all the way to Bashira. Because of her aversion to combat, the arrows would go in different places and often ended up being too wide to be considered a true shot. However her mother’s affinity with Suiton created a new way of using her bow and arrows. Using small amounts of moisture in the atmosphere she can guide her arrows where she wants or using a bit of her chakra can create arrows made of water that would use the same moisture to land where she wants. However it depends on how much moisture is in the air and how much chakra she has.

Because of the blessing of her byakugan Bashira is now granted nearly 360 degrees of view, save for the small blind spot all hyuuga have.
