Not much is known about Erika’s past, where she came from and how she found herself in Kirigakure no Sato. But there are two things that are known: the first being that her father is Sato Jun, and the other is that she has a brother, Sato Hideyoshi. Perhaps that is all that she should know, Erika never questioning for a moment who her birth mother was. In fact, she remembered that the only time she had ever asked her father about her, and his face had distorted into an expression of anger and sadness, two emotions she hadn’t seen him display up until that point. She quickly learned not to ask about her mother, which she didn’t have much trouble with since both her father and brother loved and cared for her deeply.
Eri, the nickname used only by her family and close friends, is a shy girl, introverted and not too articulate with her words. What she lacked in social skills, she made up for in her proficiency, especially in her desire to learn and practice medical ninjutsu. She herself wasn’t even sure from when her iryo-ninjutsu passion started, but like a flame, it burned bright. She is serious and diligent, although one could say that she lacked self-confidence. She is caring and kind to almost everybody, even though she has a hard time getting close to anyone who is not her immediate family.
Medical Ninjutsu [Iryo-Ninjutsu] [Apprentice]
Eri's true passion, she had started her journey to becoming a medical nin well before she entered the academy, watching and learning from the sidelines at hospitals. She has learned to sterilize wounds and to heal small cuts and bruises, having healed herself a few times from sword wounds. The extent of her skill lies in light wounds from weapons. She spends a lot of her free time reading books on poisons and elixirs, trying to learn as much as she can in all facets of medicine.
Shurikenjutsu [Rookie]
Although she doesn’t believe in fighting, she understands that a shinobi needs to be able to protect themselves in some way. She has learned to throw shuriken, kunai, smoke bombs, and senbon, even though she doesn’t always hit the target(s) on the first try. She also doesn’t get into fights or situations where shurikenjutsu is needed for her to practice, so she finds herself spending time when she is bored throwing weapons at straw targets in her backyard for fun.
Stealth [Rookie]
At the age where curiosity gets the better of her innate shy personality, Eri can sometimes move around without being detected. This is most useful around her house though, seeing as she is a little scared of her father and always wants to go outside on an adventure by herself. Although unsure whether her father just doesn’t want her to know of her mischievous ways or if she is as good as she assumes she is at stealth, she would love to be able to move freely without detection. She has no experience, perhaps within good reason, in using stealth in missions or where it really matters so there is still much room for improvement and potential.
Water Release [Suiton] [Rookie]
Somewhat fitting to Kirigakure, Eri was born with the Suiton chakra nature, which she only recently learned she had. Because of this new revelation, she has only been able to surface walk for a little while on water. The most she could do, which she loves annoying her brother with, is squirting small amounts of water from her mouth, which she uses sometimes when she plays with him or wants his attention. She understands there’s a lot more that she could do with the element and hopes that one day her father and/or her brother would be able to teach her some more things with it.
Taijutsu [Rookie]
Having learned mostly Taijutsu in the academy, Eri is not fond at using her body as a weapon, even though she understands that a shinobi is required to be well-rounded in terms of combat. She has learned the fundamentals and basics of Taijutsu, being up close and personal to her opponents not something she really enjoys doing, without a weapon. Her primary focus in using Taijutsu is to be able to up her agility and use her shortness (height) to her advantage when fighting, hoping to use it as leverage instead of mastering in it as a proficiency.
