Deeply nationalistic and willing to die for his village before disgrace or dishonour, Tou surprisingly did not become a Shinobi until much later in his life - graduating at the age of 23, putting his money where his mouth was when the talk wasn't the walk. Scarcely pragmatic and more self centred, he did not have any fame or renown to his name, though he came from a good family.
His turn to a military nation was one of choice, and one of necessity. He is a bold person at heart - taking risks and perhaps being a little too vocal about his allegiance and willingness to die for his nation, and death before dishonour. He is a generally unpleasant person, with understandable reason. He finds it difficult to empathise with others even if they are strong if they do not hold the same or similar virtues as he and his goal is to bring Otogakure to a new glory, to create a United Nations of Sound - however he can make that happen - to the point of zealous crusader if he were given the opportunity.
His main hobbies outside of proclaiming Otogakure's greatness is actually quite serene, which is trinkets collecting, which actually also makes him a hoarder of kooky things big and small, especially items of historical value. It can make him greedy in times of exchanges and barters, especially when it's something he tends to like looking at. Rocks, bones, jewellery - axe heads or otherwise items of no value to anybody but him. As a more annoying trait to him, is that he does a lot of lip smacks during his speech.
Taijutsu [Rookie]
More lean and strong than fast and nimble, Tou's 6 foot 2 frame actually focuses on using his long legs for kicks rather than punches, and so those hands usually stick quite close to his frame like a boxer's would, though normally tucked tighter into his chest, but lacks finesse beyond what had been taught at the academy.
Shurikenjutsu [Rookie]
Tou's ability to throw projectiles is okay: not that they tend to do much during a fight between Shinobi, but Tou can throw things with a decent accuracy (on a board, would at least hit inside the circle consistently) and has learned a little about curving those projectiles and some understanding of predicting a moving target.
Stealth [Rookie]
Truly a rookie and little concept toward the notion of his environment, Tou has effectively learned about his body size and how to hide it behind objects, and to not talk while he does so. While he has the concept of not standing on loud things he hasn't understood about hiding himself from other senses or utilising his muscles to produce as little noise as possible.
Fire Release [Rookie]
Tou's chosen specialty is toward the art of ninjutsu and fire release. Fiery and cackly, Tou has very basic control over this new skill of his, being able to form sparks of fire and at most first degree burns on touch, as well as moderating his body temperature for a primitive form of 'heat control.'

What is not yet owned by Tou's repertoire is his ability to conjure orbs of mass destruction of the heat kind. Tou does not have access to this ability just yet; but it is in his blood.
