Kozue had only been gone a few months, but his mind was on revenge that whole time. Someone had set him up, made him a sacrificial lamb to a pack of ravenous bandits. First, he would deal with the bandits, and then he would deal with the hidden stone... For now, Kozue could do neither of those things. He lacked weaponry, and the training to take on such large forces. He needed a place to train, a place to lay low, a home, a hideout...
This thought process lead the young man to a forested area in the mountains around stone country. He found himself searching for a suitable location to set up shop. Somewhere he could build his own base of operations.
Gazing at a rocky ledge, several meters above ground, the man would mutter to himself "I like the mountains, but this spot doesn't look too stable... Damn, thought this would be the place."
Taking a seat upon a rock in the middle of the forest, he would continue to ponder and grumble "I've been looking all day... No wonder people haven't settled out here yet..." That was certain. Maybe he could convert some sort of cave or other natural structure into a hideout. Those would be fairly common to come by, but he needed something that was just the right size and shape. He was being picky, but finding the right place would be important for strategizing and organizing attacks.
Hello. This thread seemed lonely so I hope you don't mind if I step in.

Another day, another possibility of random chance events. Such is one of the many spices of life. At least, that is what Sumire had believed as she traveled through the random backwoods that crossed her path this day. There was no rhyme or reason for her trip. It was simply sheer coincidence that her travels took her through more foreign lands, a sight that she'd never tire of. The different sceneries were sometimes similar but all so distant from familiarity. Truly refreshing even if she knew little of where she was. [break][break] Which was why the silken garbed woman could be seen whimsically strolling through the otherwise quiet woodlands, carefree as ever with the small handful of miscellaneous herbs cradled in one arm. It certainly looked innocent enough. Other than that though, there was no real effort to conceal her presence. Why would she? She was but a simple miko passing through. Sure there were some inherent risks and danger, but she didn't think much of it. Not now, nor when some foreign movement crossed her peripheral vision. "Hm?" A soft hum to herself as she refocused towards the shady seated figure. Odd. [break][break] The thought crossed to leave whoever it was be. Yet somehow that idea didn't stick well as multiple possibilities inundated her mind. So what was the best course of action then? It didn't matter for the rose haired maiden had already committed to an approach. Again she made no effort to conceal her movements. On the contrary, she actually walked as normal as possible for any civilian or otherwise. She was dressed as one after all and she'd act as such as she cleared the brush with a light sweep of a hand against a low hanging branch. "Oh. Are you a lost soul?" Asked oh so gingerly and innocently as she attempted to make eye contact with the stranger. Regardless of who this person was, she was curious as to the reaction she'd receive. What was the saying? Body language betrayed the mind? Either way, she tilted her head curiously though not daring to approach just yet. For now keeping a safe distance was the best course of action. "You don't seem lost, but there's no other reason for you to be sitting out here with that look on your face."
