your technique is elegant. your speed is immaculate. dodging and sharp quick hits are your forte. it’s the oomf behind the punch that needs work. that’ll come with time. perhaps you’re too caught up in the strict teachings or maintaining perfect form to focus on the raw power that sometimes matters.

in the past year you’ve ditched your fondness for delicate, dainty knives - though you still miss being able to slip them easy from the cuffs on your wrist and into your hand. now you’re drawn to your shuriken, six pointed throwing stars that you alike to deathly snowflakes. of course, the skill needs to be equally as sharp as the weapons - carefully precise. but you’re impressive. rightfully lethal in the right circumstances - as long as your target isn’t too distant - and you hit them where it counts (which is where your anatomy classes came in handy).[break][break]

you’ve always been soft-footed - dainty and small, able to fit into small spaces without being seen or heard. able to pass by without being seen or heard. able to disappear without being seen or heard. or found. it’s a staple from your childhood - from the very beginning of your training.

as a young woman your movements are elegant - nifty fingers making quick work or distracted pockets when the time ever calls for it. knowing what makes for a good distraction, using sound (and silence) to your advantage. alert. attune with nature.
and with your ninjutsu it’s even more important - working hand in hand with your sensory skills. you know how hard it is to remain unseen whilst you look for the unseen - sometimes - so for many years now it’s been a primary focus when it comes to your abilities and progress. they’re a pair.
sensory ninjutsu ▬ (APPRENTICE)
recognising a threat from a short distance away (still very limited) is one thing but knowing who it’s from is the downside. your proficiency is useful - incredibly so - you’re still able to sense changes and immediate threats to your surroundings to give at least some warning - but it’s not always perfectly timed and doesn’t bode anyone much time. but it’s something. there’s only time to improve. it works best to your advantage when you’re sheltered - or at least around others that can protect whilst you focus (you still have to take yourself out of the moment to excel, meaning sometimes, if in crowded or chaotic spaces, it’s harder for you to see). but being able to paint out the map of danger around your (nearby) location - no matter the blurry edges or flaws to detail - it’s still a major help in some smaller circumstances. kekkai ninjutsu ▬ (APPRENTICE)
your newest proficiency - you’ve worked to improve fast but whilst on par with your other skills it lacks the most in comparison.
your shields are strong but small - only able to protect one person alongside yourself, sometimes not even that. it’s best used to hide others when the time calls for it - a trick. deceit. [break][break]
time with the vajrakīlaya not only introduced you to better methods - ways to manipulate the truth with barriers - but helped you find other individuals to train with. you’ve still yet to master the balance between the two halves of your ninjutsu - often having to pick, between sensory or kekkai, which is the priority in the situation, even if both would be beneficial. for now, your barriers are secondary. a work in progress.
