Deep in the forest a call was sounding... he felt compelled to turn his back upon the fire and the beaten earth around it.
Korogaru fell into a three point landing on the empty dirt floor of the canyon. There were not as many footprints as she had expected to see. A genjutsu? No. Well, perhaps partially but Nomi had marked something and it was on the move. The Chunin sniffed the air as she scanned the area visually searching for the largest threat to a creature like this and therefore the most likely target of the main rhino.
Her attention was drawn towards her siblings who were manipulating a large scroll in what she assumed must be an attempt to seal the creature. That seemed like a likely target… or maybe her focus was drawn there because it involved her brother and sister. There was a lot of resentment there for years of loneliness and missed holidays but there was still some love there and she didn’t want to see anything happen to them.
Korogaru and Nomi would attempt to sprint after the marked rhino, ignoring the others as inconsequential illusions. Hopefully, her nose and intuition would prove correct. The pair would drop to all fours and run into a spin, the pair of cyclones circling one another and if they were able to catch up in time Korogaru would bounce off of her bear, attempting to tackle her brother out of the path of the airborne rhino while Nomi would do his best to knock Kyuu to the side and out of the path of the falling behemoth.

[attr="class","arubody"] Higa rushed up towards higher ground, trying to get a vantage point, close enough, so he wasn't looking at a grey blob and a bunch of specks, but far enough to give him some decent reaction time should some other crazy justu happen. While he was searching, he still had some attention on Kishi traveling back towards the quarry itself.
Since the forest near the quarry wasn't just fallen trees, stumps, and trampled flora, he could surmise that something was amiss with the droves of rhinoceroses he saw earlier. What could that be? Maybe they were clones or fake, or they just vanished into thin air.
Now that he had his view. He settled on a nearby cliff, one that overlooked the quarry but was still some ways away. Kishi stood at the quarry's edge, arm outstretched under the guidance of Higa. A blade would spring out from its palm with a click.
There was a burst of pressure, the bladed weapon shooting out, arm attached to a chain that whirred as the mechanism released, firing it like a canon at the main Rhino's body. Whether it hit or not, the arm would retract back to safety quickly after hitting anything or anyone, assuming its path was uninterrupted.
Well. This certainly was unexpected. Tsubaki and her clone both watched with identical looks of curiosity as the events unfolded before them. Hulking men and bugs seeming to move straight through the herd, while others were being crashed into and tossed aside by impressive forced. Yes, things were definitely starting to make sense here. She nodded to herself as she reached into her loose kimono, removing a plain cloth that she kept tucked away. With one corner pinched between her teeth and the other in her hand, she gave the fabric a tug and tore the cloth in two.[break][break]
The missing in hummed to herself as she ignored the pain and discomfort of moving her right arm, the bandaged limb reaching out to help twist the pieces of fabric and stuff them into each ear. It would seriously impair her ability to hear, but if her hunch was right then it was her best bet of being able to actually do something in this mess. Because as things were now, there was no way she would be able to actually get in on the action without immediately getting gored.[break][break]
As her right arm slid back to rest inside her loose kimono her left hand would follow after it, hands clasping together to form a seal. Her eye closed as she unleashed a burst of chakra from herself, hoping to break any genjutsu that may have taken hold of her at the onset of the battle.

"Oh my, it's making a fool of us." [break][break] Somewhat disappointed with the result of the Hidden Rain's combined efforts, Mai found herself softly biting her lower lip in frustration. Because of the 'illusion', she had used a jutsu meant for multiple enemies against less than a few, essentially wasting a portion of her chakra reserves. Granted, it was nothing major for a veteran like her, but it did hurt her pride a little bit. [break][break] Now, out of all the shinobi who were there representing her village, she was the least entitled to try something like 'Genjutsu Release'. There was, in fact, barely enough time to pull it off successfully. However, after that, she would be undoubtedly struck by the beast who was targeting her specifically. Moreover, with no solid proof pointing towards a 'trigger' in particular, going that route might offer no more than a glimpse at what was going on. To be able to cast such a large scale technique, though, it was equally if not more impressive than calling forth an actual horde. [break][break] "Hmm, aren't you quite the bold one? Well, I guess I should be thanking you in a way." [break][break] Though the words came right as Anotsu's exploding kunai would connect with the head of the rhino, the words were directed at the animal and not towards her crafty companion. The reason for it was rather simple: Mai had sent a large part of her swarm away from her with her last attack, keeping only a small portion for herself. By charging towards her, the horned beast was bringing back the weapon to its owner, much like a dog was told to fetch a thrown ball! [break][break] It was a shame some would get undoubtedly killed off by the explosion, fact that the girl would use much letter on in an attempt to have leverage over the Uchiha Jounin... [break][break] Whatever the result of the initial offensive would be, the resulting dust cloud would give her at least a second of cover, which was all she really needed to jump out of the way. Oh, but it wasn't an ordinary jump, no. Bugs would take advantage of her small and light frame and boost her movement with their own flight. To add, Mai would have thrown something in the immediate path of the rhino. She didn't pack explosive tags, light bombs or any flashy equipment like that. That said, as a medic, she carried something that could turn out to be a tad more dangerous: Poisoned Makibishi spikes. If this was anything like an ordinary rhino, well, one of its weak spots had to be the sole of its paw. [break][break] The paralyzing toxin would never be enough to kill, much less something of that weight and size, but it should aid in slowing it down. If one adds the number of bugs climbing on its back, desperate to suck its energy, it mixed well into an exhaustion-guaranteed package. [break][break]
[attr="class","pwfbody"] ruby eyes stared down at his ascent up, watching the events unfold. something didn't feel 'right', causing his white brows to furrow. in that moment, his eyes caught sight of the rhino launching itself into the air. { it didn't like his flashiness } his hand hovered at the paper above him, the air and time flowing to a stop. he had a split second to react in order to avoid getting impaled by the rhino who was hell-bent on skewering him. his mind quickly processed the information he had just witness and coupled it with his own lingering thoughts. whatever he had planned out wasn't going to work and he knew it.[break][break]
he had two options before him, kai or releasing one of his surprises from his scroll. both were risky, one more so than the other, but something in his gut told him the riskiest would be the safest. it was do or die, and that very thought made the man's lips spread into a crazed smile. ruby hues glimmering with death just before them, blood pumping with excitement. he had no time to think of his sister below him, knowing she would care for herself just fine. his fingers moved towards his face as he uses that already formed chakra to disperse the genjutsu he could be afflicted with, ❝ kai! ❞[break][break]
he voice booms with command, ruby eyes never leaving the image of the rhino as they wait to see the image dispell. if it were to work, he would move to unfurl some more of her scroll with a thought towards what he would unleash next. unaware at the time of korogaru's approach.[break][break]
kakimaru shifts his attention skyward towards his partner, seeing the trajectory of the rhino. he quickly shoves kureiru off of him, raising his head as he lets out a deafening mournful howl. knowing better to remain at a distance to avoid the stampede. ❝ kegawa! ❞ [break][break] Nikukyuu Inuzuka , Kureiru Uchiha , Korogaru Inuzuka [break] tldr: kai'd to release genjutsu? ( waits to see if he dies ), ready to unleash something else from his scroll. kakimaru throws kureiru off and hopes his partner is ok qq
It seemed the second she got some height that the threat was right there with them. Kyuu's line of sight shot for the rhinoceros bearing in toward them, and as it raise its horn in ready to plow her brother through - she made the immediate call to beat a hasty retreat. With the shadow of the beast looming over her she shift nimbly in the air, twisting in her place to coil her body so she might meet Ginmaru's paws with her own. With her ninken on the same wavelength, the pair kicked off from one another, aiming to shoot themselves off to either side before the strange beast's weight could drop to trap them beneath its form.[break][break]
The intensity of her frigid stare locked toward Korogaru as she soared, gaze set to fix itself to the woman's own in steely silence before Nomi's approach blocked her line of sight with a wall of dark fur. The chunin's attention shifted for the ground, and as she and her hound caught their footing on the open rock behind the force of the stampede, the pair found themselves falling to catch themselves low against the ground, briefly rattled by the weight of their descent.[break][break]
With the chief of the monsters seemingly occupied, the woman's eyes were skyward, ready to catch whoever might fall. Her eyes were hard, and her expression showed grim. She had no words to offer, even as Kakimaru sound out with a howl.
The ledge the genin and Aiko were perched upon quickly became a target. The moment she saw the beasts coming for the base they stood upon, her hands instinctively reached out to grab the youngest two and pull them closer to herself. Just in time for the platform beneath them to be shattered and sent flying by the hoard. She tugged the two closer to herself to keep the group from being scattered, before the platoon made their landing[break][break]
The moment Aiko could, she regained her footing once the momentum wasn’t throwing her around at it’s whim. She loosened her hold on the Genin, casting a brief glance to the side to ensure Daichi had handled himself in the tumble. He’d taken enough falls, she wasn’t too worried about him bouncing back from something like that. Ignoring the scratches and annoying bruising, her eyes locked on the stampeding masses.[break][break]
Attempt kai! The order buzzed in her ear, before she let out an aggravated sigh. Of course. An illusion. That would explain a lot of things, which made it all the more annoying.[break][break]
As far as her memory went, the three around her may not be able to pull that kind of thing off.[break][break]
“If you can’t pull off the Kai, fall back to the canyon ledge” she ordered. “You might be able to break it by hurting yourself, but that’s a last resort.” It seemed like she briefly stared right at Daichi, but it was hard to tell with her Byakugan active.[break][break]
“But with all the attacks from the stronger shinobi being thrown around, it may not last much longer” she theorized, motioning for them to fall back from the barrage. She’d be right behind them if they did take the leave. Whether they argued or not, her next actions wouldn’t change. She brought both of her hands together to initiate her own Genjutsu Dissipation. The chakra drain wasn’t a pleasant one, the act of a Kai of this scale forcing her to then restart her Byakugan in the next beat.[break][break]
With the genjutsu, if it were there, hopefully cleared, her eyes immediately busied themselves with the source. Bouncing from rhino to rhino, dancing around the mass, she knew where it had been in the first place from earlier. She checked the one Anotsu and Mai were attacking, then shifted her gaze towards the rest, trying to get the best comparison her eyes could collect.
[break][break]
TLDR: Helped Hoshiko and Koma safely land. Instructed Genin if they can't do Kai, either GTFO or they could try and break it by hurting themselves. Fell back from the fight a bit to get her footing. Used Kai herself, then reactivated her Byakugan. Is now searching for the rhino that Anotsu and Mai are attacking, and looking for a rhino that may stand out.
The squad was cast aside as a rhino came crashing through their platform, fortunately at least managing to toss them to the side of the stampede. He managed to catch himself for the most part, protecting his head from snapping back and colliding with the ground. Instead he found jagged stones tearing through his uniform to cut at his skin, the hard ground impacting to surely leave behind bruises where the fabric wasn’t torn. It wasn’t the best ride, but at least they were safe from the worst of it. ”Is everyone alright?” Daichi pushed himself to his feet, quickly looking around to get his barings and assess the situation.[break][break]
Mai was under attack, Anotsu was moving to assist her, and…Kai? Oh no. ”Nobody’s TAUGHT me that yet!” There was a hint of frustration in his voice that masked the bit of panic. His attention then shifts to Aiko as she speaks, her words reminding him of his father’s advice long ago. Though it would’ve been nice of the man to actually teach him the proper technique, the advice he gave was similar to Aikos. Daichi stared down at his hand for a brief moment before looking up to catch her gaze, lips pressed together into a flat line as their eyes met. She knew what he was going to do, it seemed. And as much as he could see she didn’t want him to, he wasn’t about to sit here and be useless in the face of danger.[break][break]
The genin would fall back, keeping behind the others should they have followed Aiko’s orders as well. As he moved, he would reach into his bag and pull out a single kunai. His finger slid through the loop on instinct, giving the blade a twirl before gripping it in his hand. It would have to be a pretty severe pain to break this illusion, which meant there was no room for holding back. His teeth clenched as he glanced around at his platoon, silently hoping they wouldn’t notice as he took this drastic action.[break][break]
He could only stifle the groan of pain so much as he stabbed the kunai through the back of his hand, his face contorting in pain as his body screamed out in pain. The breath hissed through his teeth as he closed his eyes, fighting back against the waves of panic the wound sent through his body. He had to stay in control. He had to keep his wits about him if he was going to fight. And so he stopped short of a full retreat, instead turning to face the stampede as he silently hoped that this last ditch effort wasn’t for nothing.[break][break]
tl;dr Stabbed himself in his left hand in an attempt to break the genjutsu while retreating a short ways before turning to survey the situation
it was the warming touch of her sister that brought the girl back from her fervent search. her lips parted in surprise, aiko’s arm wrapping around her to keep her safe and to ensure they retreated quickly from the danger. hoshi’s own arm moved to place itself around aiko, her sense of wanting to protect her elder sister coming to light. her other arm rose to keep a stray rock from hitting aiko, causing the girl to stifle a pained yelp. as their feet touched the ground, hoshi furrowed her lavender brows to ignore the small cuts and bruising she received. it was better than the alternative.[break][break]
Attempt kai![break][break]
the girl’s eyes widened, the realization clicking as to what she was looking at. that is why she couldn’t distinguish the chakras. with that experience, she felt she became closer to understanding genjutsu and the lack of ability to distinguish it with her dojutsu. her lips pressed together, knowing that she wouldn’t be able to perform kai. she was just far to inexperienced, but she recalled from a previous conversation with aiko about the alternatives. without hesitation, she grabbed her kunai in her hand and plunged it into her thigh. [break][break]
she stifled another yelp, gritting her teeth and focusing her gaze forward. she pulled the kunai out, flipping it in her hand as she bent her knees into a defensive position. her byakugan focused in the direction of her elder sister’s gaze, trained to seek out the chakra points of her next target.[break][break]
tldr; gets pulled away from harm by aiko, protects aiko from a stray rock, stabs self in leg, looks in the direction aiko is with the rhino that mai is fighting[break] injuries: minor wound to leg, cuts, and bruises
Koma wouldn't have seen it coming. He was too focused on his barrier, while what other thoughts he had found themselves wrapped in monitoring the flow of his chakra, and the slow, deep draw of his breath. The hand that grasped to his clothes came as an unexpected touch, and for the surprise, he found his heart skipping a beat as his eyes blink themselves to alert.[break][break]
The hair of his neck rose to stand on end, and before the rock could shatter beneath his feet, he found himself being yanked away, drawn in along with Aiko's escape. His head turned faintly, a stunned glance cast back toward the Hyuga as she carried him to safety, and as she gain her footing somewhere safe, his eyes turned to survey the damage left behind by the appropriately named 'tsunami' to have just stormed past.[break][break]
"Thank you," he murmured for the assist, the life in his eyes having dwindled away as quickly as it had appeared.[break][break]
"Falling back."[break][break]
The young genin edge a couple steps back to put some distance between himself and the hoard stomping on ahead. Without kai, he was content to bide his time for his chance, though, by the sounds of pain erupting from his teammates, he was the only one who thought better of waiting it out. While Hoshiko pierced her leg, Daichi saw fit to gouge his hand, leaving Koma the only one not to attempt to fight off the illusion.[break][break]
His eyes narrowed as he set them forward, peering through the crowd of leather to try and make out just what fate their target might be charging into.
Before any reaction, there was inaction - a lone Uchiha who failed to remove themselves from the equation. A hoof would quickly solve this, rendering what was once a skull powder, and brains gel. A stain formerly known as Kureiru Uchiha.
Another Uchiha would find themselves woozy, Yusuke struggling to manage his broken limb. At first glance, it had seemed little more than an extraneously broken limb, but upon taking a closer look bone jutted from skin, a staggering amount of blood starting to pump from the young man's limb. If he wanted to survive, he'd need to act soon, or have someone act for him.
Some of the crowd had wised up, taking whatever opportunity they could to kai - dispelling all but four of the rhinoceros. The chakra required would be fairly hefty, limiting those who chose it in their further expenditure. The first - the main - rhino continued it's journey skywards in the meantime.
An assortment of attacks targeted the beast, from a puppeteer loosing weaponry, a colliding bear and inuzuka; all to seemingly intercept one person's demise. The rhinoceros' horn would be diverted, grazing the side of Kegawa's face with a large gash. With the force of another massive beast slamming into it, the group would be exploded out and down - Nikukyuu would be successful in catching Kegawa if they continued the attempt.
The bears force was capable of carrying the rhino some distance, separating it from the majority of the crowd, enough to possibly buy them some time. Whether or not the bear would fare well for the encounter was another question, but he'd have Korogaru to help him face the horned creature; generous odds, two versus one.
The second continued it's assault on the fleeing squadron, an audible roar as it bucked, the stain of uchiha blood smearing as it accelerated. Taking the retreat was generally wise, as Aiko and her genin would barely escape being shish kebabbed, although they'd find themselves thrown far and hard away if they continued to only react; even without, light bruising from merely coming to near contact with the beast. Their own self inflicted wounds would only hobble their fleeing - Aiko being the only thing keeping them alive, for the time being.
The third had the unfortunate happenstance of being confronted head on by two Jonin - Anotsu and Mai. A combination of a dazing explosive tag, sedative, and chakra draining from the insects would cause it to spiral into the earth, slamming face first into a crater inches from Mai's feet. It still stirred, moving to start pulling itself up from the terrain. This one was surprisingly slow in doing so, giving the pair time to regroup and strategize while it was dazed. Or better yet - find some way to kill it.
The fourth was seemingly the most favored, met with a single enemy who had managed to suss out its position. Fortunately for Shoichi, his slash opened the rhino's hide to a spurt of blood; an ally appearing from the gorge behind - slamming fist first into its back. The earth roared, cracking underneath the shift of weight as Seiichi would attempt to grabble the beasts hind-quarters, giving Shoichi an opportunity to put the thing to rest - if he could avoid being crushed by beast and man alike.
The fleeing pair of Itaru and Sawako would go unnoticed, free without disturbance from their allies or the beasts. Tsubaki remained untargeted, having an ample amount of time to prepare, assuming she didn't leave her allies to die with her dawdling.

There was little to celebrate. The Jounin were successful in their combined effort to circumvent the peril that had awaited Mai. Anotsu, however, would not find his ministrations ceased until he was certain of their quarry's defeat. Silently - meticulously - the Uchiha watched for the descent of the rhinoceros. Simultaneously, the surge of chakra used to release him from the clutches of Genjutsu had evaporated. Taxed, he was left with the hefty cost of chakra forcing caution. To that end, Anotsu was in full motion to meet the injured rhino even before impact. A leap forth from the precipice beneath him - quickly he descended, cognizant of his surroundings and straying from the trajectory of the remaining of their ilk. "Mai. Assist the others," Anotsu began as he glanced out and into the distance with a watchful eye to his Genin. [break][break] His concern for his Platoon would only fuel the necessity of his actions. Koma. Daichi. Aiko. Hoshiko. Mai. Beneath the surface of a calm demeanor was a protective beast, its inward fury manifest as grit teeth prevailed. Anotsu's calculated landing - a short interval after the rhino's impact - saw him free from the peripheral vision of the rhinoceros as it stirred to gather its bearings. The Jounin, however, would birth other plans. Anotsu drew upon his Taijutsu's prowess, an appendage lofted with kunai in hand. An exhalation accompanying his attack, the instrument within both hands clutches would be driven deep into the impacted skull of the dazed beast before him. Eyebrows furrowed as the Uchiha left no momentum spared, no strength not unleashed. [break][break] Still, Anotsu acted. These animals, ferocious and staggering in power, were capable of more than the fundamentals of Genjutsu and elemental ability. To that end, Anotsu exercised awareness and leapt backward. Should his initial coalescence of Taijutsu and careful placement fail to claim the life of the rhinoceros, the exploding tag wrapped around the kunai's hilt would serve as hopeful insurance. There was a flame of resolve in Anotsu's pools of violet. The Jounin beat a swift retreat, leaping backward to safety as a handseal detonated the scrap of paper. [break][break] The reservation of chakra had become critical. Beads of sweat trickled down Anotsu's cheeks, vanishing with a quick swipe of the back of his hand. The smoke and debris were sure to cover the immediate surroundings of the rhinoceros, forcing the Uchiha to remain watchful should evasive maneuvers be required. Voluminous breaths of exhaustion escaped his lungs as Anotsu otherwise silently looked on, hoping that there was one less threat to his Platoon and the innocents in Iwa. What he didn't have in Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, the combination of his strength and Shurikenjutsu had to carry him. [break][break] War or not, there was still innocent blood here. Selfishness be damned - the Amegakure Jounin wanted to protect those he could. Anotsu would not rest until their objective was complete. [break][break] [12:20PM]
It seemed that Kai had been the correct move, as when he finished his final hand sign, the chaos around him abated..somewhat. It became clear that there were indeed multiple rhino. Four to be exact. But it was clear to see one thing. Whatever was happening was too much for all but the most seasoned of Ninja here. He could hear multiple people calling for retreat, and at least one of the Rhino was busy chasing a group that was trying to flee. Every fiber of his being was screaming at him to stay and help..but then he saw his teammate.
He was having trouble even standing, his arm all but spewing blood. That was right. They had been sent here to gather information and return, not fight to their deaths against this beast. As soon as Ryota noticed, he jumped down from his viewpoint, making the quick dash to grab his teammate by the collar of his uniform before dragging him behind the stone block that he had been standing on. Everything was chaos, and Ryota could feel his heart pounding in his ears. Perhaps that was the only thing keeping him from registering just how badly his teammate's arm had been shattered. So, Ryota looked around. There. Just at the very edge of the range of his ability to body flicker. A small building that had been overlooked before. It was far enough to be too out of the way for a Rhino to be willing to chase if they appeared immediately. More importantly, it gave them cover, which would give Ryota time to bandage Yusuke up before making the long trek back.
"Well, here goes nothing.." He muttered as an arm slipped around Yusuke's waist. The crunch of bone shattering echoed throughout the quarry as he pulled the other chunin as close as he could, allowing him to form the hand sign. The adrenaline still pounding, he took the risk of performing a two person Body Flicker. He could feel the strain on his body as the Jutsu activated. Thankfully, between his remaining reserves and adrenaline, he had been able to pull it off. The few steps around to the side of the building they appeared by were heavy footfalls, but he had managed it. Letting go of Yusuke, he let his friend slide down into a sitting position on the side of the building. Patting down his jacket, Ryota felt around for anything. No bandages..no gauze. He sighed as he looked his teammate over. Well, this was going to be unpleasant. He knelt down next to his teammate, quickly pulling a kunai from the pouch he had always seen him drawing from during training for a kunai.
The process he went through afterwards was quick and dirty, and left Yusuke's uniform in tatters. It had taken almost the entire top of the uniform's cloth, but he had been able to mostly stem the flow of blood from Yusuke's arm. He waited a few tense moments to watch for any more blood. Once that was done, he hefted the young man up and onto a shoulder again. Time for them to get out of here. Using the cover of the building, Ryota started to walk in the direction of the small village they had passed through to get here. Yusuke needed a doctor, and they needed to get back to the village in one piece. Hopefully the building they had slipped behind would offer enough cover for the pair to slip away unnoticed. If it didn't, well..he still had his sword. They had both been overconfident in their own abilities, and had kept to themselves before the chaos broke out. A harsh lesson would be learned if they managed to escape. One that Ryota was already in the process of parsing out as he struggled through uneven ground to try and get them out of combat before it was too late. At least one person had died today. He didn't know who..but that knowledge alone bothered him more than most probably would have cared to admit.
[attr="class","APP3"]His madness had paid off as his leap with fury had allowed him to mount onto the back of rhino, striking it fist first as it seemed that had had unequipped his claws and returned them to the hook in his sash. Fortunately, the intensity of his blow seemed enough deter it from its natural course though it still continued towards a shinobi that had injured it. Seiichi was a heavy mass and, despite the rhino he had mounted being of its own impressive bulk, it would find that the jounin's tenacity was in a weight class of its own. He'd shift himself along the their left side, giving his right arm further leverage and saving him from the crippling blow those stout legs could deliver to the knees if he tried to grapple from behind. With a deep breath he squeezed, trunk-like arms tensing ferociously as his herculean grip crushed without remorse, no different than an overtightened, manual clamp; curiously, this feat was no different than a myth of a demi-man who wrestled and strangled a lion's whose pelt was impenetrable, to death. He bit down ferociously, his teeth to grind against another as he attempted to put the beast to a halt.
But something grander occurred.
Seiichi found his focus nigh-unbreakable as every fiber of his might was poured into those feet that drug against the floor and those arms that held the rhino in a vice that it could not break from. Without the utmost confidence in his tremendous strength and faith in his innate talents and hard-earned power, the shinobi before them was to be trampled unless he, too, acted. With his feet pressed on the floor as he risked life and limb, those very feet calloused to a hide of their own from a life of trampling the frigid and rough tundra's of his own country, he'd force them to a more abrupt stop. There was no fear of consequence, there was no doubt in his ability that he wielded so obtusely to rend the reality of any fate constructed by grander beings in their idle machinations. To those fortunate eyes that could witness a man under going a breath through-- yes, the raw power he was about to display would no longer be a feat of fairytale or legend.
The earth had begun to unsettle around the man as an aura possessed his goliath form, enveloping the entirety of his massive frame as the pelt he wore billowed as did his gi from the energy he invoked with his focus and howl. The earth around him stirred to a mentionable degree, dust was kicked up and pebble had been cast aside as his strength manifested outwardly. With another mighty grunt to expel the power that swelled in him and his bloated, engorged arms, he'd step in with his left leg as he twisted to his right. To further prepare, his right leg would step back and be used to balance himself as tore from the rhino its earthly tethers and lifted it into the air in a most unnatural manner, holding the animal straight up for a brief moment before it was hurled to the ground from over his shoulder. Despite the risk involved, and what it had been performed on, it had been no different than the suplex he had performed countless times before; although, to counter the rhino's length he was brought to balance himself briefly on his toes before that last moment, as the acquire that final bit of leverage. The crash onto the earth was jarring, shaking the plain they battled on as Seiichi reacquainted the rhino he wrestled with earth below. With a horn impaled in the cracked ground, they were stuck upright as the kumo jounin disengaged and moved quickly to its front. With a well placed kick to the under part of its neck, aimed crush any future attempt at breathing, he disengaged permanently and moved onward.
His pace suffered as it was a tad more sluggish--despite his continued advanced--than before. It seemed his body now mulled over what muscles he strained and what injuries he incurred as tax to his action.
[attr="class","cbody2"]I felt my chakra wash against the beast and score its hide, though with very little fanfare. There was a moment of surprise, the setting in of the surreal scenario where it managed to tank the kamataichi with only a minor wound, but it was quickly followed by secondary action. My body angled itself as the grip of my spear transferred to my right hand exclusively, my shoulders squaring as I slightly halted my momentum in tandem with the swirling of winds about it's shaft. The beast man's assault had given me a very momentary reprieve in the rhino's gait and shift in its attention, and as such there was still distance between us yet. Just enough to space to very literally over-the-shoulder-throw the spear directly at the thing, aiming somewhere lower than its forehead in an attempt to avoid the capped surface.
Typically the recovery phase of a such a throw, I didn't slow my momentum completely after still. Instead while the man-beast slipped down the rhino's surface and to one side I ran toward the other, keeping more than an arm spans of distance away. When completely parallel the side he would be opposite, an inhale signaled my hands to complete the necessary signs to complete a jutsu. Like a torrent upon my exhale countless bullets of wind attempted to pierce the beasts hide. Judging from its thickness I had assumed there would be no exit-wound to my assault. Still, I had ascertained that perhaps being this close and utilizing a jutsu specifically meant to pierce along with whatever the man beast would accomplish would be enough to slay the rhino.
