It hurt a little being called out but he couldn't deny what Tsuki was saying. "You're right."
[break][break] He knew more than anyone else that he had become a slacker, not that he wanted he had intended to be one from the start. Hell, he was more diligent back in his younger years - not that he was old but that's the point - but now it just felt like a chore. There wasn't much to motivate him and while he could probably excel at whatever he set his mind to do, then he more than likely would.
[break][break] Now that he thought on it, nothing much had happened to make him become like this, or perhaps it was what followed after every missing he had to go on on himself in the past and had to do... well, whatever he had to do then and there. "You know..." he started as he picked his beer and took a nice, long sip of it before putting it back on the table and looked into the genin's bright gray eyes. "anyone else wouldn't complain having a teacher like me, but also, you should know a bit as to why I'm like this now."
[break][breal Not that he wanted to bring old memories back but it had been a slightly life-changing experience for them that had landed them where they were now. It almost felt like that had switched personalities at some point in time.
Yunyao had always been one to watch people and he couldn't help himself but smile at the slightly younger Genin as he stretched his arms, he could almost read him like a book. It would be weird if he couldn't after being together for a bit of time.
[break][break] Despite the responsibility that he only took by the hand seldomly; he did enjoy them. They were entertaining, fun even but he wasn't one to open up all that much. Except for what had happened a while back with the young Hyūga and himself.
[break][break] "You can't slack like me." He mused slightly as he lightly placed a hand over the Genin's head. "If you, you won't be able to catch up to a lazy sensei like me." not that he was joking, he was pretty serious about his words. He knew he was a slacker and well, he hoped the Genin in his platoon would advance as much as they could.
[break][break] What was rarer than him being diligent in teaching was Tsuki being honest about them which made Yunyao smile a little. "I feel like I might get lucky tonight with you saying all this." he joked lightly as he hinted to the waitress to bring them some beer. What was better than skewers and beer?
[attr="class","mercy-blurb"] Yukio was adorable when she pouted, not that he was doing it intentionally this time around but it was a cute face he could enjoy for the time being. "Oh no, Yukio got the wrong idea." acting as if he was hurt, he kept on rubbing Tsuki's shoulders. "I'm trying to help you here by channeling all my bad luck to Tsuki." see, he was being helpful besides, his brain cells would riot if he even attempted any of these games.
[break][break] "Ha, Tsuki only wants me for my money." he shook his head.
[break][break] "So young and already being opportunistic." seriously. s.m.h.
[break][break] "I'd do anything you suggest Yukio but not this, besides, I'm already helping you by keeping myself away from you and showing my love to Tsuki."
[break][break] He flashed a smile at Yukio and wrapped his arm around Tsuki and rubbed his cheeks against the Genin's own. "See. Helping."
[break][break] It appeared that the children had some hidden potential but he did want to smack Gao-gao upside the head for only focusing on his body and taijutsu. What was the use of having two natures when you lacked the capacity to even be able to use it in a real battle?
[break][break] "You're not just supposed to have one, well most do but some special people are born with two types at the same time and I'm sure Tsuki already has an idea why that is but Gao-gao doesn't seem to have gotten it." he smiled slightly and looked right at Tsuki.
[break][break] "My time is precious so I'll be sure to work you until you can't walk."
[break][break] Which would be quite fun to do, as for Gao-gao, he was gonna have to put maximum effort if he's going to want to use both elements in order to use his Kekkei Genkai proficiently in battle. "I'll be also helping you with your Raiton but you'll have to look for someone else when it comes to Suiton. This means; no taijutsu for Gao-gao for a while."
Oof, maybe he had come at a bad time since Téngfēi had a nice handprint on his face. he approached the desk and looked around a bit before looking right at Téngfēi. "Sounds good." this wasn't something that hadn't happened before and despite how he may have looked on the outside, he enjoyed these outings when it happened. you never knew what kind of fun might happen when you were around Chūnin. "I don't mind either but we can do the ferry one since it's been a while." plus, they probably had new things to try out and he wasn't about to say no to that. "Before we go, you should wash your face. You look super tired." which made him feel a little bad since he had just woken him up.
[attr="class","mercy-blurb"] His brows arched slowly at the sight of the two.
[break][break] They really needed to not show their intentions on their faces, they were so easy to read and all he could do was shake his head. while he would have messed with them a little more any other time, he figured being serious every now and then couldn't hurt.
[break][break] "I just told you what we're going to do." he ignored the great sensei part, even he knew he wasn't the best there was, and at least once every six months he felt a little bad.
[break][break] "That's because the Hyūga are closed-minded. Are you planning to follow suit as well?" he shrugged, stood up and, dusted off his pants before reaching inside his pocket and took several pieces of paper out, and handed a sheet to both Genin.
[break][break] "Even the dumbestNaruto person can learn of their chakra nature, you don't need to be specifically proficient on Ninjust to learn it, plus this is something you were born with." Yunyao took a few steps back as he took hold of one of the pieces of paper and effortlessly channeled some chakra into the paper, as he did, the paper wrinkled immediately. He looked over to the ginger boy and pointed at him.
[break][break] "Do you know what my chakra nature is by how the paper wrinkled?"
He couldn't remember when was the last time Téngfēi had called for him but as soon as he had heard he was being summoned, he had made his way over to Téngfēi's office which was, for the most part, the safest location to find him. He had to wonder how he could stay stuck inside his office hours at a time, just the thought made him frown a little. Arriving at the location, he stopped in front of the door leading to the male's office before knocking on it, opening it, and sticking his head through. "Are we doing something?" He asked with a hint of excitement.
[attr="class","mercy-blurb"] Yun was starting to get a little concerned about the children for plenty of reasons. Whether they were slacking on or not; they were lacking in plenty of ways. He wasn't about to deny it himself but perhaps paying some attention to his kids wouldn't be a bad idea but who in the hell has such big babies. UGH, this was going to end up being troublesome but he supposed it wouldn't be bad to make sure they didn't end up dead somewhere. Having to attend a funeral wasn't fun in the least and his tear ducts only produced salty water for animals.
[break][break]
"But you have." he said in a disdained tone, shrugging slightly as he dipped his hand inside the bag of chips, picked one up, and bit into it. "I can't help being a busy body, you could have asked Yukio if I wasn't around." he let his eyes slowly fall on Gao, "Hurry and come here, I'll be teaching you babies something today I suppose." Ah, he was going to have to miss his nap but he did want to keep them alive to a certain extent. "Since you two are done, we can work on areas where the two of you haven't been working on." from what he could tell, they have been working on their taijutsu to some extent but they needed a different approach. "Have you figured out your Chakra Nature yet?" if they hadn't then, they could certainly work on it as a sort of homework. He really needed to start planning training sessions at some point instead of just winging it. "Alright, go dry yourselves up and come over once you two aren't wet and sweaty." with that said he made his way over to one of the trees, sat on the ground, and started to finish his potato chips while enjoying the shade.
[attr="class","mercy-blurb"] Yunyao had never been one to care for décor if you asked him anything about it and he wasn't about to. he did know that what was around this casino was seriously gaudy as heck but hey, this was not his circus. he did admit though; the atmosphere around here was always pretty fun and kept him entertained, not that he was one to go out of his way to gamble or even participate - his luck is crap, alright - he had found out a bit on the hard way but he would never admit or even contribute to it. still, having a drink or two while watching people lose money or even just despair was quite entertaining.
[break][break]
The jounin had been at the casino for a good amount of time and while he was dressed more or less casually, it still made him stand out in his own way. monochrome colors were his thing after all and hoodies, well, they were great for keeping a low profile which he had been doing up until now. taking the last sip of the drink he had in hand, his honey-colored eyes caught sight of something he didn't think he'd see, or perhaps he just didn't think the younger male would even try to look different but it was a nice sight to see and he did enjoy seeing new sides to people.
[break][break]
He swiftly made his way through the crowd, making sure not to bump into anyone as he did - not that it was difficult for him to accomplish really - before arriving at the table that Tsuki was at. it seemed like he was ready to go in hard as he waited for the players. he quietly stood behind the Genin and leaned slightly towards his ear and whispered; "Is this why your taijutsu is lacking?" of course, Yunyao was teasing the Genin but was it bad that he enjoyed seeing other people's reaction and what they'd do next? his eyes then settled on Yukio and smiled slightly. "Shouldn't you be asking that to whatever luck god or goddess is out there instead of Tsuki?" he asked as he grinned a little before looked back at Tsuki. "Should I rub some of my bad luck on you?" he asked with a fakeconflicted look to him before grabbing the Genin on either side of his shoulders and rubbing his arms.
[attr="class","mercy-blurb"] Watching the children thus far had been quite entertaining and a little cringe but he was definitely judging them from where he sat. that was one of his favorite past time after all but he had to wonder: why hadn't they noticed him yet? then again, it could perhaps be the fact that he was way beyond in rank when it came to his stealth but he wasn't gonna flex about that, nope. he was, of course, going to point and laugh at them. he had been trying his best not to bust out laughing but would that be rude? yes. did he care about their feelings? he wasn't sure yet but he did put a potato chip in his mouth as he gazed at the two that were supposedly training.
[break][break]
Yun couldn't help but wonder if Tsuki was slacking on his training, especially since he had plenty of advantages with his byakugan or was ginger-boy trying to act like a good senpai and getting the brunt of it. deciding not to just stay as a spectator, he smiled slightly - eyes on the two genin - as he spoke up. "Don't bully the children, Gao-Gao." he jumped down from where he had been sitting and onto the ground as he looked over to Tsuki. "You've been slacking, huh?" yes, Yun was calling him out.
the easiest way to shut someone up is by making sure you punch them in the face and make your point across thus, Yunyao has been on point when it comes to his taijutsu. not only that, it keeps you nice and fit and let's be real, platoon two is just trying to keep in shape so Yukio can have bodies to drool over.
kenjutsu 〖 journeyman 〗
while Kenjutsu wasn't his main choice, he decided it was easier to do than spend time over something that would be incredibly bothersome and annoying. he left that to his twin since he's definitely more dedicated than he is. of course, seeing as he like being proficient in the things he decides to do, he is well versed in Kenjutsu and does keep up with his training when he isn't throwing snacks at his cute and insolent genins.
stealth 〖 journeyman 〗
if it wasn't for the fact that this is a must, required to be learned then he wouldn't have picked it and would have picked something much more useful. while yes, being stealthy is alright, it's not something that should be required but he did it because he had to. he does it well and comes in handy when dealing with dumb children that think they're the best.
fuinjutsu 〖 journeyman 〗
truthfully, he just wanted to learn Fuinjutsu for the handiness of it. not having to carry weapons around had always sounded like an awesome thing since he was young and had aspired towards this diligently without falling behind. of course, he'd go a bit further but seeing as he enjoys procrastinating a lot, he hasn't advanced much. there's also the excuse of trying to keep everything balanced. of course, he does delve into more things than just sealing weapons but they're still a work in progress.
raiton 〖 journeyman 〗
to his surprise Raiton has been the release he had been born with. he likes to think that perhaps, just maybe, someone in his line was from Kumo but he isn't bothered to ask or even cares much about it. he has trained his Raiton to the level it is now and is proficient at it, using it in different situations when it's most appropriate.

「 summary 」
the lazy half of the two. [break] Yunyao has always prided himself in his laziness since he was young and even now, he is still plenty lazy if there isn't any sort of gain in the thing(s) that he's to do. for the most part, Yunyao has had a relatively normal childhood without much excitement - not that he went out there to find any in the first place - or any fuss. the only real fuss was his parents being annoying at the fact that he left everything to the last minute; be it walking, talking, writing, and everything in between. of course, once he got down to what he needed to do, he has been meticulous and focused his time on doing what he needed to do. truthfully, he just enjoys having that sense of urgency since he feels it makes him work better and keeps him on his toes.
[break][break]
during his younger years, he has been someone that slacked for most of everything without putting much effort into things that didn't seem like would pay off in the end. he has always been the type of person to keep that in mind and has proceeded to follow him even now that he's older. despite the trouble he caused his teacher back in the day, he is now a proud Jōnin, although, he could use more off time to slack off and go on a binge eating spree, for the time being, he's enjoying his time with platoon two - despite them being little turds - he does thoroughly enjoy watching over them, especially Yukio's twins. at the end of the day, when push comes to shove, he acts like the adult they need, and although this happens seldomly - since he believes they need to learn themselves without him having to hold their hands all the time - he's still doing what he can to teach them well.
