About Noriyuki Uchiha
Alias: a nickname he got from a mission of the same name.
Birthplace: Water birth underneath the waters of the Naka River within the Land of Fire.
Wanting him to be born on home soil his parent's would sneak into the enemy occupied territory of their former home to deliver him, turning his birth into an S-Rank endeavour that all three survived in the end.
AppearanceHair black as night and onyx eyes that glisten like precious stones animate this Uchiha. Hair long and spiked, he keeps it untied, leaving it to grow untamed so that it frames and veils parts of his face. A smile pulled up to one side has become the default expression on his face, giving him an air of smug arrogance when one lays their eyes on him.
Noriyuki is built of strong, lean muscle. With a body fat percentage below 5% his muscles are highlighted sharply, giving the impression that his sleek frame houses formidable strength within it.
For clothing Noriyuki's legs are covered by the black tights. Over those he wears black shorts with no pockets and on his feet are the traditional blue ninja sandals of the Konoha shinobi.
A midnight blue, short sleeve shirt is worn over a black, long sleeve, tight-fit undershirt. The midnight blue shirt bears the Uchiha clan insignia on it's left arm showing how the item is a custom clan clothing piece.
Over his shirt, strapped vertically across his torso is a dark grey utility belt with pouches, slots and zips all around it for the storage of items.
The sheaths for his twin tanto are custom designed to be fastened around the waist. When secured within the containment, the blades rest horizontally above one another on the lower back, with each handle poking out from the left and right side respectively.
The index and middle finger on his right hand each have two rings of white tape around them and to complete his look Noriyuki wears the regular village headband around his forehead.
Persona Noriyuki simplified into three words;
confident, proud and
arrogant.These three traits are the highlight of the persona that is Noriyuki Uchiha. There's never been a boy so sure in himself and his skill as a ninja. The Uchiha moves and speaks with bravado and it is in this that he has adapted to a no-fear kind of approach to life. He is a
fearless boy by nature and by blood too. Being a member of the Uchiha clan, he possesses the fight for battle and thirst for hate. Fueled by his pride and arrogance, he finds it hard to turn down anyone
stupid big enough to challenge him. As a result, he is prone to falling into his fair share of confrontations.
This is where his
lack of patience is said to stem from.
Short-tempered, Noriyuki is quick to blow a fuse and run head-first into any and everything without a second of thought. This often clouds his ability to think rationally and results in sticky situations which leave him with his back against the wall from time-to-time. However, the Uchiha's anger comes with some advantage as he becomes
cold, cunning and
ruthless whenever he is pushed to his limits. This is beneficial in any battle situation because he fights with nothing held back and that paired with his ability to be a
quick, instinctive thinker can make him a formidable foe to face.
With that said, Noriyuki is a
hard worker. He is no stranger to breaking a sweat and spilling his own blood for something. He has a ''never give up'' attitude towards all that he dedicates himself to so if there's a race to run, you can guarantee he won't stop moving until he crosses the finish line. No matter what it takes, Noriyuki will go the extra mile and that coupled with his lack of fear of death makes him a shinobi with little to no limits. Being a shinobi, Noriyuki is by nature
competitive and
persistent. He loves a good challenge and competition (healthy or unhealthy). He is always pushing himself to do better, to be better because according to him there is no rest in the world of a ninja.
Noriyuki has a
dark sense of humor; a very twisted one that has him throwing morbid jokes and blunt sarcasm around like jutsu, more especially against his opponents. During battle he is prone to taunting opponents and isn't afraid to display how big of a
showman he is. With a bad boy attitude to everything, he isn't afraid to speak his mind and make known his
opinionated views or expressions. If he doesn't like someone or something he'll probably say it out loud and it is because of this that you either like Noriyuki, or you don't.
His Story:Noriyuki was born into the renowned Uchiha clan that hailed from the former Hidden Leaf. Being the only child of couple Akira and Akasame Uchiha, the pressure to achieve greatness rested solely on him growing up, especially with his parents being renown shinobi of their land before it's current occupation. The man that was Akira possessed an excellent service record that many expected Noriyuki to live up to in his road to becoming a full fledged ninja. Not only was his father's name considered with much respect within The Hidden Sound Village that The Uchiha family now called their home, but it carried with it an air of fear given the man's bitter and cold nature. Akasame was more passive however; she was more loving than her husband and happened to be the only person who's gentle touch was capable of softening the staunch man that Akira was.
From Noriyuki's time as a young boy, running happily about in The Sound, to his years in training, his parent's, especially his father made it known to him what they expected from him. Akira had always been the hardest on his son. In raising him, he didn't treat Noriyuki like a son, but like a warrior that he had to prepare for battle. As a result Noriyuki's relationship with Akira wasn't one of love or affection, instead, it was very formal, like one that existed between a general and his soldiers.
Dragon Fire - His father's battle moniker, a name Noriyuki had grown to fear as much as the enemies that faced Akira Uchiha once upon a time.
Akira was a strict man with strict principles that he expected his son to abide to without opening his mouth. Their days spent together weren't spent doing typical father-and-son bonding activities like all the other children, instead they were spent in hardcore training that left Noriyuki bruised and defeated at the end of each day. Akira always spoke of ridding the body and mind of weakness and he wanted his son to know that with every punch he swung and every kunai he threw at him. Young at the time, Noriyuki didn't understand why his father treated him the way he did and he often went to bed in the comfort of his mother's arms, crying as she nursed his injuries.
An innocent and clueless young boy, Noriyuki could only owe his father's actions up to hate and he came to believe that Akira really did resent him with every rigorous and abusive training session he endured at the hands of the man.
One of the worst of these training sessions was the day Noriyuki graduated into genin status. Being in the shadows of other top students in his class, Noriyuki wasn't the best in his group, coming out in the back of the pecking order. He was promoted still but the news of his accomplishment wasn't enough to please his father who dragged him to the training grounds and told him to raise his weapons and fight him. Afraid, Noriyuki didn't make a single move of defense or attack against his father and received a savage beating at his hands. He was kicked around like a doll and if that wasn't painful enough he listened to his father's words of insult with every painful blow. As his father raised his knife to deliver the final blow, that's when Noriyuki first awakened the dormant Sharingan within him and dodged the fast approaching kunai.
After nearly injuring his son gravely with a kunai blade, and watching him activate his dojutsu Akira walked away from the scene, leaving his wife to tend to the severe wounds that he had inflicted on his son.
Over the years Noriyuki developed utter disdain in his heart for his father.
When tragedy struck and Akira lost his life on a mission trying to reoccupy Konoha, Noriyuki thought he'd be more happy, but the bad news touched him deeper than expected.
Akira's body was never recovered from where it had fallen in the Land of Fire somewhere.
It sounded like a dream almost but the mourning months after felt more like a nightmare.
Akasame was distraught and their home wasn't the same. It felt colder despite the frigid head of house being gone. Noriyuki felt this loss as deeply, but still harbouring a rooted hate for his father's treatment of him, he had a hard time expressing his pain of loss.
He had little comfort to offer his mother in her grieving so his days were spent away from the house; in training, going on missions, chasing after girls, anything to keep him away from seeing his mother's tears and depression, and confronting his own unresolved feelings in the process.
Recently, Noriyuki joined The Sound's shinobi forces.
With Akira dying a legend, a part of him wants to live up to his father's legacy and honour him by avenging him, by fighting for their home back. . .
Proficiencies
Uchiha Heritage Noriyuki's hails from Uchiha ancestry. As a result of his blood ties there's fire that courses through his veins like a lot his kin, as well as the genetic potential to awaken their famed dojutsu.
Kekkei Genkai - The Sharingan [Rookie]A single tomoe marks Noriyuki's Sharingan.
Taijutsu [Rookie]Noriyuki's hand-to-hand combat skills are practical. There's nothing special here. He knows how to throw a punch and land a kick.
Bukijutsu - Kenjutsu (sword) [Rookie]The blade has been like another limb for Noriyuki. He is still learning and the road to mastery is still long but he knows enough not to go around cutting himself.
