About Kei

The Ametsuchi family became one of the Hidden Sound's most prominent benefactors around the time the Village finally began to truly expand their territory. Wielders of abundant riches, they provided financial and political support in exchange for territory, claiming some mines and tunnels to their name. Even if they were at some point indirectly involved with experiments that went beyond human morality, their position of power allowed them to 'foresee' the future, switch sides and swiftly avoid the hand of justice. Because their aid is mandatory in the war of attrition against the empire, they are allowed to enjoy a life of comfort and pleasure, far away from the front lines and usually refer to others below their social status as 'commoners'. They do, however, present them an opportunity to elevate their social status by hiring a number of them as servants every couple of years.

For Kei Ametsuchi, who was born in such bubble, being high in the food chain would never be high enough. Her thirst for power is built on boredom, rather than an actual ambition. Having not experienced grief in any shape of form, but raised to be the pinnacle of what some would call royalty, her brimming confidence allowed her one day to declare that she would become Hokage. Even if no formal training was done up to that point, even if no one in her family had even tried to become a ninja, even if her father would stand against the very idea of putting her life in danger, and even if she would have to start for the very bottom in order to one day reach her goal... She wasn't afraid, for she was born to be unstoppable. Ninja academy? Forget it, she wouldn't waste a single breath attending a place meant to entertain little kids. Oh no, she wouldn't settle down for less than the best lessons that one could afford, coming directly from battlefield veterans with high prestige. She would design her own schooling plan, picking what she deemed necessary and discarding what had no place in the eyes of a noble.

To say Kei thinks highly of herself is an understatement. The village is her castle, and she is the queen. Though she does not actively try to create conflict, her rich girl attitude can easily rub others the wrong way. She conceals her ignorance of the world she doesn't know under a mask of absolute certainty and even goes as far as to use the name of her family in order to get back to her feet when pushed against a corner. She follows the beat of her own drum and can be highly disobedient if her thoughts do not align with that of her superior. She can be highly competitive and will punish herself harshly after suffering defeat. Naturally, she makes her best efforts to no show her weak side to anyone.

Basically, she's a tsundere. 

Proficiencies

Taijutsu [Rookie]
After taking part in a few sparring matches against her private instructors, Kei has regarded Taijutsu Combat as a practice that is more befitting for a brute than a noble. Though, if the situation calls for it, she might go and give you one hell of a wake-up slap. In any case, her training routine puts emphasis on movement speed and stamina, keeping her fit and ready to break away from undesired close combat battles.

Stealth [Rookie]
Having acquired extensive textbook knowledge on the matter, Kei can properly identify places where one could hide if the situation calls for it. She's rather quick on her feet and knows when to keep quiet, but that's about it. 

Kyujutsu (Bow and Arrow) [Rookie]
A sport rather than an actual tool of combat, target practice has been in the sight of nobles from its conception. The thrill of the hitting bullseye is there and Mei shows great interest in it, even if she will require far more training if she wants to hit a moving target fast and consistently. 

Futon (Wind Release) [Rookie]
The element bestowed upon her is as noble as its rightful master. Though she has yet to give it a proper combat use, it compliments her graceful movements well, empowering her presence and discouraging unworthy suitors from approaching her.

Jiton (Magnet Release) [Dormant]
Her birthright, a distinction, even amongst those of blue blood. One day, through patience and effort, Kei will solve the intricacies of the Magnet Release and command it to do her own bidding, further distancing her from the common folk.
