This guide is intended as a quick calibration for former members of the site Rising Spirit was inspired by. If you didn't come from it this may not make sense to you and I'd reccomend sticking with the official guide and the threads linked inside it.
Abilities- our version is called proficiencies. We have six tiers, which I believe is a couple less than TWF but around the same idea. This page will go over the tiering.
Taijutsu & Shurikenjutsu- Rather than abstracted they are something that occupies a slot and makes up basic character composition on everyone but civillian characters. Taijutsu is also a measure of physical fitness (although bukijutsu also help to a minor degree).
Changes to Bukijutsu, Puppetry, Inuzuka, ETC- Weapons, puppets, and doggos are now baked into the parent ability. You can get more powerful and/or more numerous tools as part of the skill rank. It is worth noting that at around a journeyman level or so in buki or puppetry you can incorporate other proficiencies you know into your attacks in a basic way (like making a sword burning if you have katon or using poisons in your puppets with a medical proficiency).
Changes to Advanced Release- Advanced releases take a little more investment, needing the second rank in each proficiency as opposed to the first. This is offset by it unlocking at a journeyman level.
Nintaijutsu- This also unlocks at a journeyman level once you have the prerequistie skills and invest time into learning it.
Byakugan- It unlocks and doesn't require development after that. Their hijutsu is a leveled proficiency.
Water walking and surface walking- Now restricted to suiton and doton respectivly to create bigger differences in utility.
