Sanosuke was born into the Himura family, a wealthy family that headed a merchants guild. Their wealth and power have great influence within the village and is often used to help social reform and to construct local amenities. Sanosuke is one of five brothers and is the only of his siblings that have attended the ninja academy. Despite his focus on a military career, his family supports him wholeheartedly. From an early age, he excelled exceptionally well, only spending a single year within the academy and graduating at the age of 9. He spent only another year under his teacher before he was promoted to special Jonin for his proficiency in Ninjutsu.
Sanosuke acts in an aristocratic manner. He always seems calm and apathetic towards other people, even while actually deeply conflicted. He is notably calm, even in battle. He generally acts indifferent, bordering on arrogance, to most situations he is faced with, and rarely views his opponent as being worth his time. While is easily offended if his name is not used properly. Sano is very perceptive, fully aware of the limits of his abilities, and anything he states in comparison to an opponent is usually justified. Sanosuke also strongly believes in law and order. He feels that if someone in his position does not follow the rules as a good example, no one else will. He believes that to maintain the order, all law-breakers must be punished, even if it goes against his own wishes. He feels that part of a ninja's responsibilities is to make sure that his subordinate's responsibilities are taken care of as well

Taijutsu [Journeyman]
Sanosuke is fairly skilled in the art of taijutsu and it is his go to method of engaging enemies. Due to his favored use most of his ninjutsu and genjutsu based techniques are used almost as an extension of these skills. His fighting still utilizes striking and kicks similar to a thai boxer. His blows capable of crashing rocks, and shattering trees. Sanosuke's taijutsu training stems back to his genin days. He realized that his overall skills were lacking despite his focus on the fundamentals on an academic level. Knowing the best tactics to ease through missions, he was weak in upfront fights. He would begin practicing his skills by sparing with his fellow colleges of his generation to increase his fighting style.
Shurikenjutsu [Journeyman]
Sanosuke's use of shurikenjutsu is almost innate. He stresses its importance often to his squad, explaining that it is one of those skills if you don't use you lose, and is often rarely cultivated passed an elementary level. Sanosuke's practice with shurikenjutsu started even before he joined the academy, he felt that he was already a great shinobi if he could look the part, and without the means or muse to learn high level ninjutsu shurikenjutsu was his only route. Sanosuke utilizes shuriken with wire, to crowd control multiple enemies or incapacitate, his foes. His shuriken technique incorporated with his illusion based techniques create illusive combos that allow him to quickly shift the tide of battle or often, lead his opponents into traps.

Sanosuke's use of stealth is no different from the average shinobi of his expertise.
Lightning Release [Journeyman]
Sanosuke's use of lightning style revolves around focused palm lightning to generate powerful cutting force from lightning bolts shot from the hand. He is also capable of channeling a mass of concentrated chakra to cut through the most thickest of defenses and foes. This allows him the one time daily use of the jutsu chidori.
Auditory Genjutsu [Journeyman]
Sanosuke's use of auditory genjutsu is used through his lightning style as a psuedo style he refers to thunder release. Although this is not different from lightning style he utilizes his lightning nature to reenact the sound of thunder crashing in the sky, these thumps allow him to cast auditory based illusions. These crashes, and use of genjutsu are often delayed effect on activation leading those unaware to not even realize whether or not they are in a genjutsu.
