Mizutsune is blunt and straight forward, often telling others what they think no matter what their reaction to the words may be. Despite this, they aren't critical of others, in fact being an individual that has adopted a "go with the flow" mentality. They are observant, years within a monastery granting them a skill at reading the moods of others, as well as any quirks or peculiarities they may have. They aren't judgmental about anything they may notice, not ridiculing or making fun of anyone for how they are.

He is capable of thinking rationally no matter the circumstance, and will often come up with the best solution to solve a problem after considering all alternatives thoroughly. His usual expression consists of a blank or bored stare, which makes reading his emotions or mental state difficult for others. While he is often neutral emotionally, Asui does have a love for practical jokes and mischief of all kinds, and will not refuse a good prank when the opportunity presents itself. He has a strange habit of tapping his finger against his bottom lip while he is speaking or pondering something, and he also possesses a strange verbal tick wherein he says "kero" (ケロ) or "kero kero" at the end of sentences.

Despite not being raised by members of their clan, Mizu seems to bear a natural talent for their hijutsu. They were capable of grasping the basic principle of the techniques of the Hozuki with a rudimentary rundown on what they are usually capable of during their academy days. At this level, Mizu is capable of converting her body to water with a bit of concentration.
Taijutsu [Rookie]
A main focus on their training during their time at the academy, Mizu's greatest amount of trained skill lay in their Taijutsu. They have the makings of a martial arts form, though it is far from refined, with their strikes being quick and fluid like rushing water.
Water Release [Rookie]
Their natural element and one they are highly in-tune with due to their clan's Hijutsu, Mizu has learned the basics of Water Release and thus can use it to affect the water already in their environment. Due only to their nature as a Hozuki, they are capable of using water produced from their Hydrification in techniques, however a single such use will often cause their Hydrification to destabilize reverting them to a solid state. They are capable of walking on water.
Kenjutsu [Rookie]
An additional skill they learned due to a marked lack of any talent with thrown weaponry, Mizu's form with a sword is much like their skill in Taijutsu: the very beginnings of an unrefined style of combat. They have learned to move their blade in long, sweeping motions, moving like a swift current of water to strike at an opponent.
Stealth [Rookie]
By far Mizu's worst talent, and one they have all but given up any hope of refining. They have never had any luck in truly achieving the levels of stealth that others are capable of reaching, only being able to conceal themselves from the notice of the oblivious or the distracted. Though useful in certain situations, they don't usually factor in stealth in their combat plans.
