She was five years old when her tears dried up, the day that her Byakugan erupted like tendrils around her eyes. It was then when she came to accept her fate, a fate that was destined to not matter. She was nothing more than a tool that needed to do her part. Thus she did it to the best of her ability. Long gone were the days when she'd cry herself to sleep, feeling horrible for failing her parents in their expectations. All she wanted to do was to be a good girl and the best way to do that was to keep quiet and do as she was told.
There's a somber existence to the young Hyuga, one that hangs upon her frame like a veil. Her expression remains neutral, eyes dully resonating innocence and a story of someone who grew up too fast. People walk past her without a word, the girl of few words merely watching the world from the outside. There's a hesitance in her steps to engage with anyone and a careful press of her lips before she speaks in turn. Hoshi finds little comfort in surrounding herself with kids her age, preferring to stay at the side to watch them mingle and interact. Her quietness doesn't beget someone with a plethora of knowledge, and from her slightly clumsy actions one can tell her quietness is only due to her awkward struggles in interacting with others.
Hoshi only wishes to do what is right, following the guidelines and statutes her own parents have instilled in her since her birth. What she lacks in her own social confidence, she makes up with her resolute will in carrying out her goals. Unwavering in her beliefs, she doesn't stray from any task that is given to her even if she finds herself having to crawl with her fingers.
Proficiencies
Hyuga Heritage The Byakugan awoke within Hoshiko at a young age, spurred on by her parents in a heat to 'reclaim the glory days'. She was five years old.
Byakugan A kekkei genkai of the Hyuga clan, by applying a small amount of chakra to the eyes one is able to awaken this dojutsu. With it, Hoshi is able to see into objects and detect a person's chakra network, even being able to see specific points within their body. While it's active, her vision can see three hundred and sixty degrees around herself. Although, it is said there is a blind spot that even a Hyuga is not able to see, but that is a closely guarded secret.
Gentle Fist [Rookie] Perhaps one of the few things she excels at, if only due to the intense training she underwent with her family. With her Byakugan, she is able to locate the chakra points within a person and with delicately controlled precision she can puncture a bit of her chakra into her opponent to disrupt those flow of chakra within their body. Her movements are fluid and calm, like that of a river. She has a lot to learn still in the art of the gentle fist, but her ability at the level she is shows her potential to increase in the future.
Shurikenjutsu [Rookie] Not the top of her class in terms of skill in Shurikenjutsu, but not the bottom of the class either. Hoshi does well to at least hit her targets, though more advanced ones can find her steady hand not finding the mark some of the time.
Stealth [Rookie] Hoshi's meager ability to hide is less her skill and more attuned to her quiet nature. It's almost as if people just don't particularly notice her. She knows the basics at the very least, as any recent graduate of the academy should know.
